At OHA, a tea specialist with a deep knowledge of Mexican botanicals will guide you through a tasting of four hand-selected teas and herbal infusions. They’ll share their passion for fresh, regional ingredients and how these flavors tell a story of place and wellbeing. Your final stop is Bar Mini, where a natural wine expert will pour you a glass of Mexican wine and explain the process and origins behind what’s in your glass.

After meeting your local guide, Gianmario Pedroni, you’ll enjoy a typical lunch learning about the Carnival traditions, before joining the parade at 3 PM. Re Giorgio eagerly awaits Mannena, accompanied by the lively Tempio City Band and a dazzling array of allegorical floats.

After honing his skills in England, he specialized in advertising, fashion, and design, working with prominent photographers and brands. Spain

This is a rare, behind-the-scenes experience inside Granada’s legendary Fajalauza factory—one of Spain’s most historic craft houses. Founded in 1517 and still family-run, Fajalauza has shaped Andalusian ceramic design for over five centuries.

Your visit begins with a private guided tour through the original factory and museum, where centuries-old kilns, molds, and decorative pieces reveal how Arabesque, Renaissance, and local styles fused in Granada. You'll learn how this iconic craft evolved through Islamic and Christian influences—how it survived, adapted, and still endures.
Next, step into a master-led workshop where you’ll paint your own ceramic tile using traditional pigments and designs inspired by the Alhambra. This is guided craftsmanship in a space few outsiders are invited into.

Morocco

The journey covers a 200m (656ft) climb over approximately an hour along mule tracks, leading to Aremd—the last village before the towering Toubkal summit. Over 20 years ago, Maestro José lost his sight to glaucoma. What could have been an end became a beginning. Relying on touch, intuition and memory, he continued sculpting—his hands guided by a sense of form that doesn’t require vision. Today, he’s internationally recognized not only for his work, but for the spirit behind it. His ability to craft such detailed and expressive pieces without sight has earned him the moniker "manos que ven"—hands that see. 

Unlike many of Oaxaca’s 70+ pottery communities, where skills are passed down generationally, Maestro José is self-taught. He began by making animals from clay as a child. His greatest collaborator is his wife, Maestra Teresita, who adds the details to his sculpted forms. Their work is a living love story—quietly powerful and unlike anything else.

Their adult children now contribute their own custom pieces, and the family workshop also includes a tattoo studio upstairs—proof that creativity here takes many forms.

This experience takes you to the heart of northern Sardinia, where Mount Limbara rises with its unmistakable granite formations and sweeping views. With an elevation of 1,360 meters, it’s the second highest mountain range on the island, yet few travelers venture into its vast forests, shaped by wind, silence, and time. You’ll explore this extraordinary terrain with a landscape photographer who knows every curve and contrast of the mountain, a place he’s called home since childhood.

Starting from the lower slopes, you’ll walk through ancient holm oak woods, one of the largest forests in Italy. This thoughtfully curated walking tour explores Buenos Aires through the lens of its Belle Époque architecture. Between 1880 and 1930, the city experienced a wave of economic prosperity and elite cosmopolitanism, giving rise to grand buildings inspired by the opulence of European capitals. Hosted by Gabriela, a native Porteña with deep roots in the city, you’ll uncover the historical context, stylistic influences, urban legends, and unforgettable stories from this “beautiful era.”

The route begins with a stroll along the iconic Avenida de Mayo—a boulevard modeled after Paris’ Champs-Élysées, known for its mix of Art Nouveau, Neoclassical, Art Deco, and Spanish Revival facades. A native of Buenos Aires and a citizen of the world, she brings her city to life with warmth, humor, and insight. She has a background working as a Production Designer and Cultural Producer in Buenos Aires, New York, Spain, and Morocco. Most recently, Gabriela has undertaken further studies including a Diploma in Gender Perspective in Tourism and a Postgraduate course in Sustainable Tourism. Her mission? To craft enriching encounters that stay with visitors long after the tour ends.

In this studio visit you'll meet an architect who is playing with ways to use objects the city leaves behind — cement blocks, plastic crates, shattered tiles, and other things that often slip into invisibility. 

Inspired by his background in environmental design, Javier transforms such fragments into sculptural furniture such as chairs, tables and shelves. Each piece is a constellation of temporalities and forgotten stories, a collection and reconfiguration of objects found throughout CDMX, which Javier sources himself.

Javier will welcome you to his studio and share his process, sharing how walking, gathering, and assembling have become methods to map the city and its leftovers. He'll discuss what his design work says about Mexico City, and also how he's approached this work in other cities such as London, where he's been an artist in residence. 

The experience offers a unique window into how design can be responsive, situated and radically resourceful, as well as being sculptural.

Every piece is singular and made with wild, non-standard measurements and joined using simple, reversible techniques. Javier Guzmán Cervantes is an artist, designer, and builder based in Mexico City. His work explores residual realities in the contemporary metropolis, developing domestic infrastructures, furniture, and structural systems through low-tech and autonomous processes out of debris, residues, and material fragments gathered through urban exploration. In this process, he engages with concepts such as degrowth, living otherwise, and post-development, questioning the role of art, design and construction in relation to sustainability and community.

Through direct contact with the city, Javier's practice transforms discarded objects into local resources, creating not only tactical approaches to construction but also serving as traces of life and local processes within the city: revealing stories.

In 2023, he founded Ex Soup, an art and design experiment based in Mexico City that uses walking, urban wandering, and low-tech methods to collect and reassemble the city’s remains.

Manila first arrived in Barcelona more than two decades ago, while finishing her studies in Rome. She needed an internship for her thesis and chose Barcelona without expecting how quickly she’d feel at home.“Barcelona, 22 years ago, was a different place,” she says. “It was less cosmopolitan, more local. I remember wandering through narrow streets and finding tiny bars with real flamenco. It felt genuinely lived in.”
 “Tourism has definitely changed things,” she admits. “Places like La Rambla are overcrowded. Many locals have been pushed out by the rise in tourist rentals. But Catalans are proud of their traditions. They’ve started resisting these changes to preserve the city’s character.” That character is what Manila has grown to love. “I chose Barcelona because I felt an immediate connection. The Mediterranean lifestyle, the weather, the proximity to mountains and sea — it feels like home but also stretches me outside my comfort zone.” She relishes the contrast to her native Sicily. “I can take a train and be skiing in the Pyrenees in just over an hour. Where else do you get that?”
What keeps her in Barcelona is the balance of tradition and openness. “The cuisine, the olive groves, the vineyards — they remind me of southern Italy, but they’re uniquely Catalan.” And the city’s connectivity has made it easy to stay rooted while maintaining close ties to Italy. She speaks with admiration about the people: “Catalans are proud, resilient, and united. They have a strong sense of identity and community. Whether through demonstrations or cultural festivals, they come together. They’re efficient and organized, but also keep that relaxed Mediterranean vibe. It’s a unique combination.”

Valencia, Spain, is home to Albufera Natural Park, a stunning wetland reserve just 10 km (6 miles) south of the city. This vast freshwater lagoon, surrounded by rice fields and wildlife-rich marshlands, is the birthplace of paella and a haven for birdwatchers, nature lovers, and photographers. A visit to Albufera offers a chance to experience Valencia’s traditional fishing villages, serene boat rides, and breathtaking sunsets, making it a perfect escape from the urban bustle.

1. The Albufera Lagoon, one of Spain’s largest wetlands, is home to a diverse range of wildlife, including flamingos, herons, and other migratory birds, making it a paradise for birdwatchers.

2. Traditional boat rides on wooden fishing boats (albuferencs) offer a peaceful way to explore the lagoon and enjoy its mirror-like waters reflecting the sky.

Albufera Natural Park

Australia

The best thing about visiting Australia is that scenic views and spectacular nature are just a stone's throw away, no matter where you are. If you're in Sydney, you won't get a better view of the ocean than walking through Royal National Park and taking Bundeena Drive to Marley Walk.

Passing through scenic heathland with small trees, you'll soon come to a bushwalk through a denser forest. We saw many native bird species, including the famous cockatoo, had a dip in one of the pools along the way, and took stunning sunset photos as you look out over the wild ocean. The tourist highlight is Wedding Cake Rock, but our personal star was Marley Beach, a dreamy, hidden sandy beach where you can relax and dip your feet in the refreshing water.

You can rent a car and drive directly to Bundeena, but we decided to take the train from Sydney to Cronulla and from there take the ferry to Bundeena.

Essaouira, Morocco, is home to the windswept Essaouira Beach, a stunning stretch of golden sand known as one of the best kitesurfing destinations in the world. With its steady Atlantic winds, wide shoreline, and laid-back vibe, the beach attracts adventure seekers, surfers, and sunbathers alike. Whether you’re an experienced kitesurfer or just looking to try something new, Essaouira Beach offers the perfect blend of sport, relaxation, and breathtaking scenery.


1. The beach’s consistent trade winds make it a paradise for kitesurfing and windsurfing, with schools offering lessons for beginners and equipment rentals for pros.

2. Long stretches of soft, golden sand make it ideal for sunbathing, beach walks, or simply enjoying views of the Skala de la Ville and the nearby Mogador Island.

Someone described #Churchill as “the warmest coldest tundra town”. It is a friendly, curious town. It also claims to have 300 days of northern lights. 

Basically, if you happen to be in Churchill on a clear night, prepare to wake up, dress up in layers (quickly), and be enthralled. 

Last Sunday night, when most had turned back in after what looked like an “average” aurora display, we waited and were rewarded with lovely green ribbons and curtains.

Near the bustling spice and perfume markets of Fes, Al-Attarine Madrasa stands as a monument to spiritual learning and architectural beauty. Built in 1325 by Sultan Uthman II, this madrasa is renowned for its intricate Islamic art and serene atmosphere, offering a profound glimpse into Morocco's scholarly past. Al-Attarine Madrasa

Yves Saint Laurent gifted Jardin Majorelle to Marrakech, the city that adopted him and his partner in the 60s. They bought an electric-blue villa and its garden, preserved the vision of its original owner (landscape painter Jacques Majorelle), and opened it to the public. 

What makes this feel like a psychedelic mirage in the desert?

Hot pink bougainvillea bursting from terracotta planters. Architectural cacti in lemon-yellow planters. Bamboos growing against cobalt-blue walls. Colorful birds flitting through palm trees. Saint Laurent’s gorgeous collection of Moroccan art, that I totally covet. 

It also has a museum that features jewelry in a setting that our guide Khadija keeps referring to as “a dream”. A dark room with a star-spangled ceiling and low voltage spotlights shining on stunning jewelry sets.
