This half-day experience takes you to one of the best-preserved Roman cities in the world: Ephesus. Walk the main street, once lined with shops and fountains, and stop at Celsus Library — built in 2nd century CE to honor a Roman governor and to house 12,000 scrolls. The route passes the Great Theatre, capable of seating 24,000 spectators.

France

Get out of the city of Bordeaux to spend the day in the countryside villages of the Gironde. You meet Anne in Langon and explore one of the best open-air markets along the banks of the Garonne River. At the market, you enjoy tastings guided by Anne, a chef who lives in the surrounding countryside, regularly shops here, and knows the producers and vendors personally. Together, you purchase a selection of products to share later for lunch.

After the market, Anne takes you to Bazas, the most important town between Bordeaux and Toulouse for nearly 2,000 years. Here, you walk through the village’s historic center, following Roman traces and learning about its links to Henry IV and Château Haut-Brion.

For lunch, you can choose to enjoy what you bought at the market with Anne as guests in a local hotel’s dining room, or sit at a restaurant on the cathedral square. After lunch, you have some time to continue exploring the village, before returning to Bordeaux.

This day is built around places that sit outside the usual visitor routes — working villages where the market still sets the rhythm. It is common to find yourself as the only international visitor, making the experience especially meaningful for travelers drawn to French life, history, and a quieter way of engaging with a place.

Bazas adds depth beyond “pretty streets.” Its cathedral — a UNESCO-listed site on the Routes of Santiago de Compostela — anchors the town’s status as a historic place of passage and authority. In this experience, you’ll discover that ham carving isn’t just a technique — it’s an art form, practiced with care and reverence. At a family-run business, master carvers will demonstrate how each cut affects the flavor, texture, and aroma. This experience takes place in a family business in Madrid’s historic Austrias neighborhood. Corn has been a core element of the Mexican diet for thousands of years. Archaeologists have found maize cobs dating back to 4300 BC. Traditionally, the ingredient represented sustenance, fertility, and ancestral wisdom.

In this food workshop, you'll discover why corn is a much more diverse plant than you might imagine. You will also learn, hands-on, using traditional tools and the Nixtamal process, how to transform this magical ingredient into a tortilla.

Timeless Vista: Aljezur Castle

So amid the current situation of the world myself and two other friends managed to score flights to Colorado for $47. We rented a Jeep and decided to travel all around Colorado. This was my first time ever out west as I am an eastern girl! 

If you are ever able to visit Maroon Bells please do! Preferably at night so that you can watch the sun set over the mountain top! The sound coming from the small river combined with the smell of fresh air made me want to pitch a tent and never leave! The weather was not as cold as I expected. I was hoping to see more wild life but besides a few ducks there was none. I still had a fantastic time.
