What’s Included: A guided visit to the workshop of this talented family, as well as a quick stop at the local church, with full translation provided. Chile’s Laguna Chaxa, part of the Los Flamencos National Reserve, is one of the best places in the Atacama Desert to see flamingos in their natural habitat. Located within the vast Salar de Atacama, this shallow, mineral-rich lagoon attracts three species of flamingos—Chilean, Andean, and James’s flamingos—along with other unique birdlife. The salt-crusted landscape, mirror-like waters, and distant Andes Mountains create a truly surreal and unforgettable experience, especially at sunrise or sunset.


1. Flamingo spotting – Watch hundreds of flamingos wading gracefully through the shallow waters, feeding on microscopic algae and crustaceans.

2. Breathtaking reflections – The lagoon’s still waters create stunning mirror-like reflections of the flamingos, the deep blue sky, and the snow-capped Andes.

3. Salt-crusted terrain – Walk along designated paths through the unique, rugged landscape of the Atacama salt flats, which stretch as far as the eye can see.

Teatro Colón

A road trip through Spain is literally the best option for those looking for a local, less touristic experience. You can basically rent a car anywhere you want – we started in Barcelona, heading down the coast, and taking stops in Ebro Delta and Denia and other sleepy beach towns down the road. One of our highlights was the Spanish town of Cartagena – a historical hub with beautiful angled roads, traditional culture to explore (expect to be invited to some Cerveza by the locals), and history lessons about Phoenician traders, Roman soldiers, and Christian Reconquistas. If you have some days left, visiting Andalusia is a must. It's by far the most beautiful region in Spain and is known for its majestic horse breed, pristine beaches, hot weather, and super friendly culture. 
All in all, it took us two weeks to get down the coast – but you can make it in a week as well – though you might have less time to explore, sunbathe, and learn about the history of Spain

Colombia

The hiking trail from Fira to Oia is one of Santorini’s most iconic experiences, offering a breathtaking journey through stunning landscapes, traditional villages, and dramatic caldera views. This 10-kilometer (6-mile) trail connects two of the island’s most picturesque towns and immerses you in Santorini’s natural beauty and charm. Whether you’re chasing sunrise or sunset, the trail is a must for adventurers and photography enthusiasts. 
1. Spectacular Caldera Views accompany you throughout the hike, with endless vistas of whitewashed villages perched on cliffs and the sparkling Aegean Sea below. 
2. Pass through traditional villages like Firostefani and Imerovigli, where you can admire charming Cycladic architecture and tranquil chapels. 
3. The trail offers diverse terrain, including paved paths, cobblestone streets, and rugged dirt trails, keeping the journey engaging and dynamic. 
4. Along the way, you’ll encounter landmarks like the Prophet Elias Chapel and panoramic viewpoints perfect for a quick break or photo stop. 
5. Arriving in Oia, you’re rewarded with the iconic town’s postcard-perfect scenery, including its famous blue-domed churches and sunset vistas.
