Hosted by a professional photographer from Buenos Aires, this tango photography experience takes place in the vibrant neighborhood of La Boca. Playing out on the pedestrianized street of Caminito, you will meet two professional and award winning tango dancers before capturing incredible images of them performing to the backdrop of the colorful, mismatched tenement houses La Boca is famed for. Sporting full costume and make-up, the dancers are happy to answer any questions you have about this art form. 

The experience starts over a cup of coffee in a cafe where Bernardo will discuss the best camera settings for capturing tango on the street. He will address compositional tips, focusing techniques, and working with moving subjects. This is an opportunity to ask any questions and get to grips with the functionality of your camera or device (smartphones are welcome). As the activity progresses, he will continue to impart knowledge and mentor you throughout.

If you’re the kind of traveler who feels shy about photographing people on the street, then this experience takes care of that. Hosted by a professional Porteño photographer whose work appears in publications all over the world, you will partake in a private photography session with two tango dancers in La Boca. This dancing duo will be dressed in full costume and make-up and you will have the opportunity to chat before and during the experience—providing a rare access moment to learn about this art form from those who practice it and take a closer look at the fashion.The setting itself couldn't be more appropriate. This private ceramics experience invites you to create a mate drinking gourd from scratch. Over the course of 3.5 hours, you will learn about the entire process of modeling and decorating ceramics, culminating in a one-of-a-kind keepsake to take home and relive your time in Mendoza with every sip. While you shape and create your personalized gourd, you will sip on mate chosen by Lucila. Sharing mate (a caffeinated herbal beverage) is an integral component of Argentine culture and you'll come to understand why. The experience takes place in the late afternoon and concludes with golden hour and sunset at the Dunes of Concón. Starting at the reed-lined wetlands, you'll encounter such birdlife as pelicans and perritos (white-backed stilts). Afterwards, you'll pause for coffee and empanada at Surf Beach (Playa La Boca). Frequented by local surfers—David included—this is an opportunity to flex your "moving target" skills! A small hike through the surreal dune system brings you to a vantage point from which you can take in panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean and Viña del Mar.

1. Fonte da Benémola is a lush, river-fed landscape where springs and wetlands create a cool, green oasis. Along the gentle paths, you’ll see a unique mix of vegetation like oleanders and tamarisks, and may even spot wildlife such as turtles, kingfishers, and otters. The relatively flat trail makes it a family-friendly spot to experience the Algarve’s natural wonders.

2. Rocha da Pena, known for its impressive limestone cliffs, provides a more challenging hike with breathtaking panoramic views. The trail ascends to a plateau at about 480 meters, where you’ll be rewarded with sweeping vistas over the Algarve countryside. Chile’s Laguna Chaxa, part of the Los Flamencos National Reserve, is one of the best places in the Atacama Desert to see flamingos in their natural habitat. Located within the vast Salar de Atacama, this shallow, mineral-rich lagoon attracts three species of flamingos—Chilean, Andean, and James’s flamingos—along with other unique birdlife. The salt-crusted landscape, mirror-like waters, and distant Andes Mountains create a truly surreal and unforgettable experience, especially at sunrise or sunset.


1. Flamingo spotting – Watch hundreds of flamingos wading gracefully through the shallow waters, feeding on microscopic algae and crustaceans.

Salta’s old town center has rich history and a living folk culture. Colonial facades, neo-classical architecture, church with bell tower and crowds of happy people meeting up with friends before dinner.

My night ends at a peña (music/social club) where local musicians perform songs and the audience sings and dances along.

There’s the chacarera, a lively partner dance with much stomping. During zamba, couples circle each other, waving white handkerchiefs. Finally in the cherished malambo, a male gaucho performs his best steps to show off his strength and boldness to upstage other competitors. Then the dancers go around the room looking for partners from among the audience, and it’s fascinating to see the eagerness of the crowd to join in.

There’s a lot of Fernet-and-Coke - or the local Torrontés - on the tables to go along, and soon everyone is singing to the chorus. Their spirit is infectious.

Folklore Movement

There’s not much that has changed in this Square in its millennium of existence.
