This is a gentle 3-hour guided trek through the picturesque Ouirgane Valley, beginning and ending in the tranquil village of Ouirgane. This scenic walk meanders through olive and almond groves, wildflower-lined paths, and the historic village of Marigha, where traditional mud-brick homes and the ruins of a Kasbah reflect the region’s deep Berber roots.

Simone, a graduate in Natural Sciences with a specialization in Environmental and Land Management, has been a trekking guide in Sardinia since 2013. Melina, a native speaker of German and Spanish and a passionate polyglot, holds a degree in Translation and Interpretation as well as a Master's in Language Teaching. Francesco Verolino is a street photographer based in Naples and Essaouira who has turned his passion into a career focused on street and social documentary photography. Originally trained in economics and working as a business consultant, he was influenced by his grandfather, a painter, developing a deep sensitivity to light and composition.

Francesco’s work explores the relationship between individuals and urban spaces to convey the raw essence of his subjects. Since 2020, he has been sharing his expertise through workshops and masterclasses, bringing more people into the world of street photography. His "Slow Photography" philosophy emphasizes patience, immersion, and understanding places before capturing them.

Argentina

This 4-hour walking tour unravels the political history of Buenos Aires. Taking place in Recoleta and Retiro districts, Silvina's route passes through the most elegant parts of the city. You'll encounter majestic palaces once frequented by the high society of Buenos Aires and hear how they were used. Silvina will spotlight the architects behind each building and share the secrets of the people who resided within, as well as those honored in statues and other monuments. You'll tilt your neck at what was once the tallest skyscraper in Latin America and learn how revolution and wars shaped the city we see today.

Silvina draws your attention to hidden architectural elements and reveals the significance behind them. She details the rise of Peronism under Juan Domingo Perón and his wife Eva "Evita" Perón, as well as the Anti-Peronism movement. The experience concludes at Recoleta Cemetery, circuiting notable graves including the resting place of Evita. There's a mid-experience coffee stop.

When asked about his love for Lisbon, Tiago’s enthusiasm is immediate: “I love my city! I really love the historic center of Lisbon!” Though he didn’t always feel that way. I am completely fascinated by Buddhist prayer wheels. Our guide tells us that we should walk clockwise, turning the wheel and chanting, “Om Mani Padme Hum”. “Will that give me extra strength to climb up to the Tiger’s Nest monastery tomorrow?”, I ask him. “Absolutely”, he says earnestly. Well, at least one of us has faith, I think to myself.

Paro Taktsang - or Tiger’s Nest monastery - hangs off a cliff at a dizzying 10,240 feet over the Paro Valley. It’s a 5 hour climb, punctuated with lunch. Not too tough, as it turns out. I must be fitter than I think. But the guide reminds me - “See, I told you so”. 

The hike (including getting to the trailhead) takes about 6-7 hours, depending on how much time you spend at the monastery. 4 miles round trip on a wide dirt trail. At the halfway point is a cafeteria - and for most people, getting to this point is the toughest part of the hike. Beyond this, both the scenery and the difficulty of the climb are in your favor.

Santa Maria delle Grazie is a treasure trove of Renaissance art and history. This church complex and Dominican convent are globally renowned for housing Leonardo da Vinci's masterpiece, "The Last Supper," within its refectory. Recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1980, it continues to draw global visitors. Key highlights:
1 - The foundation of Santa Maria delle Grazie dates back to 1459, when Count Gaspare Vimercati donated land to the Dominican friars of Sant'Eustorgio. The construction of the convent and church commenced in 1463, under the chief architect Guiniforte Solari. Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes

Antalya, Turkey, is home to the magnificent Hadrian’s Gate, a 2nd-century Roman triumphal arch that serves as the grand entrance to the city’s historic Kaleiçi (Old Town). Jamaica

At the close of the turtle hatching season, in January this year, when only a handful of nests remained, we assisted Mel Tennant, fondly known as The Turtle Man, in releasing 54 newly hatched Hawkbill Turtles into the ocean.

The turtle hatchlings — incredibly — found the ocean on their own, with no help or nudging from us. How do they know where to go and how to swim right after they are hatched? Well, they do. Sea turtles are born with the instinct to move toward the brightest direction.

The Oracabessa Bay Sea Turtle Project, under Mel’s extraordinary leadership, provides incubation support and the safe release of these endangered creatures.
