This 3.5-hour photography experience takes place in two of the most beautiful and culturally rich neighborhoods in Buenos Aires: La Boca and San Telmo. Led by a professional travel photographer from Buenos Aires, you will explore these streets with your own camera and learn how to capture the kinds of imagery usually seen in guidebooks and brochures.  Bernardo will steer you past iconic sights and down hidden passageways, illuminating architectural features easily spotted by the typical traveler. You will also fall into the natural rhythm of these bohemian districts and hear about the people who have shaped their development over the centuries.

The experience is designed for beginner photographers through to those with an existing knowledge of photography. It is best experienced with a DSLR or mirrorless camera however cell phones are also welcome. Tripods are not necessary although carrying a variety of lenses is a bonus.

This photographic experience is designed to introduce you to the most bohemian, visually enticing, and culturally stimulating neighborhoods in Buenos Aires. Rather than a standard walking tour, you will explore La Boca and San Telmo from the perspective of a professional photographer, an artist, and a Porteño local. Bernardo will guide you along La Caminito—the “Little Street” also referred to as an open-air street museum—where you will be immersed in the area’s vibrant history of tango and street art. From behind the lens, you will trace (and capture) the contrasts between these colorful tenement residences and modern structures.

You will also explore the bustling market which has stood in San Telmo since the late 19th century and pass by one of the oldest churches in Buenos Aires and the city’s narrowest house. Delivered at an unhurried pace, you will fall into the natural rhythm of these historic barrios and have the opportunity to capture everyday life as well as the buildings.

This tour offers an immersive exploration of Lisbon's rich history and how it has evolved. You'll delve into its 18th, 19th and early 20th century bourgeois ambiance, following the rebuilding of Lisbon after its destruction in the tragic earthquake of 1755. During this period, Lisbon came to be designed as the home of the bureaucrat, the merchant, and the middle-class, and later, the financial elite. Some of the iconic squares, architectural landmarks, historic old-world shops, and restaurants from this period remain, to be rediscovered by you with the guidance of Tiago Neiva. "Where Time Has Paused" captures the essence of exploring historic neighborhoods with several hidden gems, shops and boutiques where the ambiance and charm of past eras are still very much alive. It’s an experience that is both reflective and immersive, appealing to those who are interested in history, culture, gastronomy and the timeless beauty of the city.

Lisbon is easily accessible from the airport, cruise terminal, and train stations, with the historic center reachable by walking or using public transport, taxis, or Uber.

Old Lisbon, the capital of Portugal is older than Rome by 400 years, which makes it the second oldest capital in Europe, after Athens. Both physical and cultural artifacts of its history remain intact. This experience offers a deep dive into Lisbon's architectural and gastronomic heritage, narrated by Tiago Neiva, who brings a local's insight and passion to the tour. Between the main stops identified in the “Experience Details”, you'll explore a variety of historic and unique old-world shops, showcasing Lisbon's rich retail heritage such as haberdasheries, antique shops, and specialized stores in tiles, hats, and jewelry. The Commerce Square was built in 18th center and is the biggest in Lisbon. Its defined by geometric standards and dominated by the central Arch of Rua Augusta. Finished almost a century later, the arch is an iconic symbol of Lisbon's post-earthquake resilience and architectural grandeur.

This square represents the ideals of the iluminism and the absolutist monarchy, with the riding horse king's statue, the Triumphal Arch and columnated lateral galleries. The vicinity of this square is ideal for visiting several shops that specialize in various services and repairs, showcasing Lisbon's longstanding craftsmanship.

Commerce Square is the biggest square in Lisbon and an majestic open gate to the river Tejo.

Rossio Square is the central hearth of Lisbon. Here you'll find Café Nicola, a bohemian restaurant and coffee shop from the 18th-19th century, the Neoclassical National Theatre Queen Maria II - a cultural landmark,  several highly decorated fountains and portuguese cobblestone covering all the pavement.

Café Nicola's history as a literary and intellectual hub offers a glimpse into Lisbon's artistic past. Near Rossio Square, expect to find health and wellness shops, including historic pharmacies, old jewelry shops, newspaper kiosks and other relevant historic landmarks, like the Rossio Train Station and the National Theatre.

Popularly known as S. Roque Square - due to host the former Jesuit S. Roque Church, has a rich history and architectural beauty. It also features the Brotéria Institute, located in a former 16th-century noble residence, rebuilt as a bourgeois palace in 19th century and today, a modern cultural hub, reflecting Lisbon's evolving heritage. 

The square juxtaposes historic and contemporary Lisbon. Close to this square, you'll find historic bookstores, art galleries, restaurants and the best viewpoint of Lisbon, in harmony with the intellectual, bohemian and artistic history of the area.

Trindade Coelho Square is a real memory of Jesuit presence in Portugal.

This Square- Garden is home to the Embaixada Concept Store Palace, a neo-Arab palace from the 19th century. Carmo Square is the place where Carnation Revolution had it's peak on 24th April 1974, putting an end of Fascist Government and the beginning of Democracy.  The Square hosts an impressive half destroyed 14th century Gothic Church and the  Elevator of Santa Justa, an early 20th-century structure resembling Eiffel's work. Closeby, we will have a lunch at Trindade, a freemason inspired tiled restaurant, once a brewery and before, a convent. 

The elevator offers a splendid panoramic view of Lisbon, and it's a testament to Lisbon's architectural evolution and ingenuity. The surrounding area is famous for its restoration and buildings with architectural and historical significance.

In juxtaposition to the prim and proper atmosphere of traditional Kyoto are the Tachinomi, casual bars invented for the Japanese blue and white-collar crowds to let their hair down. Although historically popular in working-class areas of Osaka, tachinomi have more recently appeared around Kyoto, some with a twist of the local culture ingrained in their Osaka roots.

Your experience begins with your expert guide giving you a primer on the history and evolution of tachinomi standing bars in the Kansai area, as well as some tips on how to fit in with the locals. From there, he will take you to some of his favorite tachinomi, from rooftop cocktail bars to racous hole-in-the-wall establishments, introducing you to patrons, staff, and owners alike.

While each location you will visit is well known to your host, the content may change slightly based on weather, seasons, and other factors, designed to make your experience the most comfortable and memorable.

While tachinomi are an integral part of the local culture, they can be intimidating for overseas visitors who face cultural and language barriers to join in the fun. Your host will act as your bridge to access the world of tachinomi, introducing you to locals and staff, explaining the variety of foods and beverages, and helping you avoid any faux pas during your experience.

Originally from Toronto, Canada, Eric has been living in Kyoto for over 22 years. He first came to Kyoto to complete his Master’s degree in Japanese Art History and now works as a teacher and translator. Since 2022, he has been running a monthly pop-up restaurant, serving Cantonese-inspired dishes. Well connected with the art and culinary communities in Kyoto, he is eager to share more hidden aspects of this wonderful city with visitors. 

Chile

This 6.5-hour, truly exclusive experience intertwines poetry, cuisine, and dialogue in a highly personalized setting in Santiago, Chile. Starting with a sensory journey through the La Vega and Mercado Central food markets, you will procure the freshest ingredients for the grand finale. But before then—a rendezvous at the former address of Chile's most famous denizen of the past. Now a museum, La Chascona was where Nobel Prize-winning poet Pablo Neruda worked magic both as a writer and gourmand.

The main course of the experience is served at the home of your host in Barrio Bellavista, where the morning's haul is transformed into Caldillo de Congrio (conger chowder), accompanied by premium Chilean wines. This aromatic fish soup was the dish Neruda prepared to welcome guests at his private residences in Santiago, Valparaíso, and Isla Negra. In fact, you'll be conjuring Caldillo de Congrio Nerudiano, true to the poet’s take on this time-honored recipe.

Much like Neruda, Julio is a gourmand who delights in feeding family and friends. His experience is curated to take you through every stage of the process—from chatting with a fishmonger who has run her stall for 50 years in Santiago’s oldest fish market to sautéing the oil and layering flavor into the chowder. During the cooking process, Julio will recite Neruda’s Ode to Conger Chowder—a lyrical poem rich in rhythm and emotion that also doubles as a step-by-step guide to preparing the poet’s signature dish.

Beyond the authenticity of speaking with longtime vendors, touring La Chascona with a Neruda expert, and preparing a meal infused with verse, this experience is marked by warmth. As Julio works his magic, you’ll hear how he first discovered a love for cooking while helping his mother in the family kitchen. While sipping coffee brewed in the moka pot he inherited from her, you’ll learn how Julio himself once crossed paths with Chile’s most prolific writer—in this very barrio.

As a chef, Julio starts with what's in season before looking to his mother's recipes and plucking inspiration from poetry to create unforgettable dishes. This experience is jointly hosted with Julio's son (and business partner) Matias who will be present during the meal. 

Italy

This experience begins with a walk through the historic center of Tempio Pausania, known as the “City of Stone” for its granite buildings. The route leads to the old railway station, a Liberty-style building opened in 1931, with original wooden interiors and pictures by Sardinian artist Giuseppe Biasi.

The highlight is a private, exclusive performance by the Coro Gabriel, one of Sardinia’s oldest vocal ensembles. They sing the tasgia, a rare polyphonic chant that evolved from the UNESCO-listed canto a tenore. Unlike its predecessor, the tasgia features all four voices singing lyrics and includes improvisational shifts in tone and harmony, echoing elements of jazz. With fewer than twenty practitioners left, this is a rare chance to hear it live.

Gianmario, a native of Tempio and a member of the choir, shares insights into this evolving tradition. His ties to the group offer an intimate perspective on Sardinian culture, set in the town that has long been the cultural heart of Gallura.

What makes this experience special is the rare chance to meet the singers themselves and hear the tasgia performed in a setting that enhances both its sound and meaning. This chant survives only in northern Sardinia, and is normally preserved within small, tight-knit communities. Here, it opens up to you.

The performance takes place inside Tempio’s old train station, a quiet, evocative building from the 1930s. It's the only public site in Sardinia where you can still see original murals by Giuseppe Biasi, one of Sardinia’s most important painters, whose work shaped the island’s modern visual identity.

Gianmario, the bass voice of the choir, welcomes you into this world not as a spectator passing by, but as a guest who is invited to immerse in the shared emotion of it. The Caruggi Enigma

Emanuele Dello Strologo lives between Genoa and Milan and has been photographing with passion for over 12 years. His journey began as a self-taught photographer and quickly evolved into professional collaborations, first with Corbis and then with Getty Images. Through these experiences, he shaped the visual language that defines his work today. Emanuele focuses on reportage, portraiture, and black-and-white photography—genres that continue to inspire him deeply. He often carries his camera with him, always on the lookout for meaningful moments in everyday life. His images reflect a keen eye for detail and a quiet curiosity about the world around him.

This two-hour experience takes place in the studio of celebrated tango dancer and choreographer Gisela Vidal. Through a private workshop, you’ll explore the fundamentals of tango—from musicality and posture to the nonverbal connection between lead and follow. Gisela’s approach makes space for both technique and emotion.

After dancing, you’ll sit with Gisela over mate (herbal infusion) or wine to reflect on tango’s evolution, her global career and the emotional qualities that make tango a living art. The final part of the experience offers a window into Gisela’s creative practice as a jewelry designer. You’ll explore how tango’s gestures, shapes, and symbolism have influenced her tango-inspired jewelry—shaped by the same rhythm, elegance and emotional nuance she brings to her dance. She’ll share how her designs emerged from her years on stage as a creative response to the movement and symbolism of tango. Each guest receives a small pin designed by Gisela to mark the moment.

Gisela’s work is rooted in the idea that tango is a cultural ritual, a way of connecting across language, background and time. Her teaching is intuitive, expressive and always personal. Through carefully structured exercises and improvised practice, she helps each student find their own rhythm and presence. The focus is on feeling, trust, and the subtle art of leading and following. 

In this extended version of her private class, Gisela’s instruction helps you find your rhythm and presence, then opens space for personal expression through movement. After the workshop, you’ll share mate or wine in an intimate setting, where Gisela expands on how tango has shaped her creative journey. Gisela will share the story behind her tango jewelry line—created after years of performing worldwide. Her pieces are inspired by the lines, gestures and connection of tango, and reflect its emotional depth. She’ll also speak to the role of jewelry in tango culture—as a form of expression and storytelling.

Growing up in Buenos Aires, Gisela Vidal danced her first tango at the age of 14. From there, she trained extensively in Tango Salon and Tango Stage style with the finest Argentinian Masters. Besides tango, Gisela has studied contemporary dance, jazz, belly dance, ballet, Argentine folk, and salsa. She has undertaken further tuition in theater and film acting, mime and clown art, and singing.

Gisela has participated in international tango festivals and major events including the opening of the Dakar 2009 in Buenos Aires. She was the choreographer and a stunt dancer for the Tango Infedele Video Clip.

During her 20-year career, Gisela has danced and coached in over 40 countries. She co-managed a tango school in Milan and coordinated the Tango Querido School in Tuscany. She launched her own jewelry business in 2018.

I remember wandering through narrow streets and finding tiny bars with real flamenco. It felt genuinely lived in.”
 “Tourism has definitely changed things,” she admits. “Places like La Rambla are overcrowded. Many locals have been pushed out by the rise in tourist rentals. But Catalans are proud of their traditions. They’ve started resisting these changes to preserve the city’s character.” That character is what Manila has grown to love. “I chose Barcelona because I felt an immediate connection. The Mediterranean lifestyle, the weather, the proximity to mountains and sea — it feels like home but also stretches me outside my comfort zone.” She relishes the contrast to her native Sicily. “I can take a train and be skiing in the Pyrenees in just over an hour. Where else do you get that?”
What keeps her in Barcelona is the balance of tradition and openness. “The cuisine, the olive groves, the vineyards — they remind me of southern Italy, but they’re uniquely Catalan.” And the city’s connectivity has made it easy to stay rooted while maintaining close ties to Italy.
