The first stop is a tour and tasting at a traditional winery carefully selected by Julieta. This winery is a small-scale affair and remains in the hands of the original family. This private ceramics experience invites you to create a mate drinking gourd from scratch. Over the course of 3.5 hours, you will learn about the entire process of modeling and decorating ceramics, culminating in a one-of-a-kind keepsake to take home and relive your time in Mendoza with every sip. While you shape and create your personalized gourd, you will sip on mate chosen by Lucila. Sharing mate (a caffeinated herbal beverage) is an integral component of Argentine culture and you'll come to understand why.
