Kicking off on Thursday February 12, the Carnival festivities begin with the grand Presentation Parade of Re Giorgio and his court. Hundreds of participants don elaborate costumes, while dazzling allegorical floats showcase puppets that seamlessly blend satire and artistry. These floats are true works of art, the culmination of months of dedicated craftsmanship by skilled papier-mâché artisans.

From lively musical bands to whimsical soapbox races with creatively disguised vehicles, the Carnival invites participation, ignites joy, and embraces togetherness. After a traditional lunch, you'll be guided by a local expert photographer along this journey of cultural immersion and artistic exploration.

This experience is very exclusive: Led by the official photographer of the event, Gianmario Pedroni, you will be able to access special areas closed to the public to see and photograph the parade up-close. As the son of a local float constructor, Gianmario shares insight into behind-the-scenes stories of the artisans and their work. Starting the tour at his studio allows you to see his previous works.

After honing his skills in England, he specialized in advertising, fashion, and design, working with prominent photographers and brands. In 2009, he returned to Sardinia to establish his studio, where he captures the region's breathtaking landscapes and vibrant culture. As the son of a float constructor, Gianmario has always been closely involved in the creation of the floats and continues to collaborate in their construction.

This is a guided journey through the streets of Marrakesh, where storytelling and sacred geography meet. You’ll follow the route of the city’s seven revered saints—an ancient pilgrimage known as the Ziara of the Seven Men—accompanied by a professional storyteller who brings each saint’s legacy to life at the very places they are honored.

From hidden shrines to quiet alleys, you’ll uncover layers of history, faith, and folklore that rarely make it into guidebooks. The experience combines live storytelling with a walking tour to the zaouias (shrines), celebrating the seven men who gave the city its nickname: The City of the Seven Saints.

After dancing, you’ll sit with Gisela over mate (herbal infusion) or wine to reflect on tango’s evolution, her global career and the emotional qualities that make tango a living art. The final part of the experience offers a window into Gisela’s creative practice as a jewelry designer. Growing up in Buenos Aires, Gisela Vidal danced her first tango at the age of 14. From there, she trained extensively in Tango Salon and Tango Stage style with the finest Argentinian Masters. Besides tango, Gisela has studied contemporary dance, jazz, belly dance, ballet, Argentine folk, and salsa. She has undertaken further tuition in theater and film acting, mime and clown art, and singing.

Gisela has participated in international tango festivals and major events including the opening of the Dakar 2009 in Buenos Aires. She was the choreographer and a stunt dancer for the Tango Infedele Video Clip.

During her 20-year career, Gisela has danced and coached in over 40 countries. She co-managed a tango school in Milan and coordinated the Tango Querido School in Tuscany. She launched her own jewelry business in 2018.

Included, besides the guiding, are: mule and muleteer, a freshly prepared lunch in a Berber family home, bottled water, and all tips/gratuities for the guide and local businesses/families who support this venture so that you can have a “wallet-free” experience. Pickups will be included only from nearby hotels (Chat with Ahmed after booking if you‘re staying in Imlil). 

Dress for mountain conditions: sturdy boots, waterproof jacket, layers, gloves, hat, sun cream, fleece/anorak for winter. Water bottle and day pack.

If you need a trekking pole, let Ahmed know in advance. Inform him of any medical conditions or physical limitations. Confirm if your party need mules or not. 

Be prepared for altitude, and respect Berber customs in the villages you pass.

Where else do you get that?”

2. The Silves Cathedral, located near the castle, is a remarkable Gothic structure built on the site of a former mosque. Step inside to admire its vaulted ceilings, ornate carvings, and tombs of local nobility. Australia

Kakadu National Park is half the size of Switzerland and a real adventure. If you rent a car, you could drive along the road for weeks, camping in different places and experiencing nature in a way you can't anywhere else.

After leaving Darwin in a rented 4x4 jeep, we made the long drive to Kakadu National Park. Take plenty of drinks and snacks with you, as there aren't many stops on the road. Along the way, we visited several refreshing waterholes and waterfalls, had an open-air barbecue, and saw many birds, snakes, anthills, and farmland along the way.

At night we mostly stayed at campsites that provided tents, and the beauty of the night is incomparable. You can hear, smell, and see countless species of animals, from alligators swimming in lakes at night to dingoes howling, to weirdly chirping insects.

We hiked to a hidden waterfall and discovered some hundreds-of-years-old wooden paintings done by the ancestors of Australia's indigenous people. A must-see in Australia for sure!
