What is this?

A 3-hour walking food tour through Rome's Trionfale neighborhood. One of Rome's first 15 quartieri, this neighborhood dates to the late 19th century Unification and early 20th century Fascist eras. Originally designed to house the large influx of Italians to the capital city of a newly founded Italy, the area grew to become a mecca for foodies thanks to its enormous food market amid traditional shops. We will begin the culinary adventure at a local café, and then explore the local market rich in history and authenticity and known for its over 200 stalls of local produce and delicacies; it’s a chance to engage with local vendors and artisans. A highlight of this tour is the chance to experience Rome's pizza expertise and how it transforms into an art form, with imaginative, fresh ingredients.
