Cerámica y Vino Mendoza

This private, 4-hour ceramics experience invites you to create a decorative piece while enjoying a few glasses of wine and empanadas. Mendoza is as celebrated for its thriving arts community as it is for its world-renowned Malbec wines. You will learn about the artisan process of ceramics, from modeling to decoration, culminating in a unique piece to take home as a reminder of your time in Mendoza. This may be a plate or a cup; Lucila will discuss the options with you prior to starting. In addition to exploring your creativity, you will also sample wines from local Mendoza wineries and enjoy delicious locally made empanadas, making this a full experience for the senses. No previous experience is needed—just a desire to enjoy and learn. As the finished ceramic piece must be fired after the workshop, if you would like to keep it, you will need to collect it one week later or arrange to have it shipped. Shipping costs are not included in the price of the experience.

Empanadas Mendocinas are another delicious component of Argentina’s gastronomy, and this experience fosters mindful consumption, where you'll note the differences from other regions. You can choose between meat, vegetarian, and gluten-free empanadas. This workshop provides a calm, enriching moment for couples, families, and groups of friends. Lucila creates a warm and relaxed atmosphere where creativity, enjoyment, human connection, and mindfulness are encouraged.

Lucila Quevedo is a ceramic artist from Mendoza who has been teaching classes in her workshop for seven years. She is passionate about the craft of ceramics and focuses on artisanal techniques. Through her work and teaching, she seeks to transmit the essence of this art form and inspire others to explore their creative side. Please note that the workshop is hosted in Spanish. Travelers are encouraged to take this as an opportunity to practice their Spanish in a warm, creative environment. Non-Spanish speakers are welcome to join and are invited to use a voice translation app like DeepL or Google Translate to support communication with Lucila.
