Ana Isabel Ramos is a designer, illustrator, artist, and children’s book author living in Lisbon, Portugal. A native of this city, Ana has made Lisbon her home after living on three different continents. Having first-hand experience of being a foreigner when living abroad, Ana knows how long it can take to get to know a new place and believes sketching is a shortcut to it.

She has been sketching all her life and as a daily practice since the beginning of 2021. This consistent routine has helped change her relationship with time and space. She believes sketching slows everything down and affords a different connection with the people around us and the place we’re at.

When she’s not taking you to the best spots in Lisbon to sketch, she works with women to help them connect to their inner wisdom and creativity to get clarity and live life more fully, embracing their artistic side. In 2024, she published her first children’s book “Livro do Não”, which she illustrated with embroidery.

Italy

Glide across the Venice lagoon on Davide’s vintage wooden motorboat to visit two iconic islands where craft has been a daily language for generations. First stop: Murano. Inside a family-run furnace, you’ll watch glass gather, breathe, and turn under the maestro’s tools as Davide explains and interprets techniques and guild lore. Then Burano greets you with painted facades and the fine geometry of lace. You’ll see artisans in small ateliers — needle, pillow, and pattern at work — then wander short lanes toward the bell tower and waterfront, pausing for color-drenched photographs. Throughout, Davide sets the rhythm — efficient but unhurried — ensuring you catch both the big and little aspects of island life and tradition. This is so you can take the cable car from the base of Montserrat up to the monastery, which is located 720 meters above sea level. Once you've arrived, you'll enter the Cathedral and get to approach the throne where the famous Black Madonna sits. The Monastery and Cathedral has been built bit-by-bit for centuries, and you'll get to enjoy various architectural styles ranging from Gothic to Baroque.

This experience begins in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, one of the most celebrated appellations in the Rhône Valley. The day opens with a visit to a family estate, where you walk through the vineyards and cellars while learning how generations of winemakers have shaped the identity of the appellation. You will taste red and white AOP wines, and may also sample a rare vintage whenever available.

At midday, you stop in the village for a relaxed three-course lunch in a family-run restaurant known for its locally sourced ingredients and regional cuisine. Tasting local wines paired with a starter and main course, you gain a deeper sense of the local food culture while chatting with your host about the area’s culinary traditions.

The afternoon continues with a walk through the historic village and the ruins of the château built by the Popes in the 14th century, followed by visits to two additional estates to explore different approaches to viticulture and production, and to taste additional wines.

The next chapter of the experience takes you to two of the most iconic neighborhoods in Buenos Aires: San Telmo and La Boca. Passing into La Boca, you will stroll along the photographic Caminito and take in the sight of the Alberto José Armando "La Bombonera" Stadium.
