First of all, we will meet with the attendees at our puppet museum located in, Faikpaşa Caddesi which is full of old buildings, antique and creative stores. We will make a small tour for the collection we have in the puppet museum from all over the world. After the small tour, we will have local tea and cookies with the attendees. We will start to explain the written history that we have from the beginning 16th century: how Karagöz traveled, how he expanded and how he lives today.  
Then we will get our tools to experience the process of making: 
- Deciding which part of Karagöz will be made, 
- shaping the camel leather with special tools(cutting, carving, piercing) 
- Painting the figure

Finally, with a full figure, all attendees see and experience of acting the figure on a shadow theatre curtain.

Your host, Cengiz Özek, is a master puppeteer and one of Turkey’s leading figures in preserving the ancient art of Karagöz shadow puppetry. His extensive theater background, including a degree from Istanbul University’s Theater Department, combined with his work as a director, designer, and educator, makes him uniquely qualified to lead this experience. Cengiz will guide you through the intricate world of Karagöz, supported by a translator to ensure a seamless and engaging experience for all participants.

Chile

This experience is a private tour of Galería Artkinson, one of Valparaíso's most intriguing independent galleries focused on urban art and contemporary expression. Named for its proximity to the beloved Paseo Artkinson walkway, the gallery is co-managed by a quintet of local artists each with their own specialty across painting, engraving, sculpture, and jewelry craft. Each artist has a different style which makes for one of the most eclectic experiences in Chile's Capital of Culture.

This private viewing experience is hosted by one of the five artists. It consists of an in-depth description of the original works showcased in the gallery and the studio, where you'll learn about the different materials, symbols, and ideas behind each piece. You will also learn how the work of the Galería Artkinson collective fits in with the wider identity of Valparaíso's urban art landscape. The experience includes one Pisco Sour or glass of Chilean wine during the art tour.

This is a rare opportunity to explore every nook and cranny of an independent gallery staffed by the very artists whose sculptures, paintings, prints, and jewelry hang on the walls. The gallery is co-managed by five local artists each working within their own medium. This private viewing of Galeria Artkinson is hosted by one of the five resident artists who collaborate in the studio. Moro "Newenki" Pichilaf specializes in wood engraving, stencil art, and painting alongside mural art with fellow graffiti artists Don Peluca and Cuellimangui. Fernanda González works with plasticine installations whereas Klaus Tordo is a master at metal engraving and the botanical practice of Kokedama.

The host of the experience depends on the date booked. In most cases, you will meet at least one further resident artist during the visit besides the host artist.

This six-hour asado experience in Valparaíso is the most authentic Chilean barbecue experience you'll find in the Fifth Region. Not only is your host an expert guide born and raised in the seaport, but he is also an avid grill master. The experience starts with the purchase of ingredients from Juan Víctor’s local feria (market). You’ll pick up fresh herbs and vegetables while chatting to vendors and immersing yourself in the scents, textures, and sounds of the market. As no Chilean meal is complete without wine, you will also purchase some regional Carménère and Sauvignon Cabernet.

Once at Juan Víctor’s family home, you will prepare the asado using his self-built brick parrilla. This includes chopping aji (chili) and tomatoes for pebre (Chilean salsa), tending to the charcoal, or priming marraqueta (bread rolls) for the starter of choripan (chorizo sausages). If you are interested in rare natural phenomena and want to learn more about marine life, you should head to Mexico's Pacific coast. One of the best spectacles is the annual whale migration, where you can catch unique glimpses of humpback whales. 

The largest mammals on earth have earned their reputation as the most beautiful, intelligent, and impressive creatures. If you watch the ocean at migration time (either from the shore or on a boat tour), you'll see baby whales leaping and maybe even hear mother whales calling their families together. The baby-whale season is from January until the end of April.

But the Pacific coast is not only known for whales. It's just as beautiful to watch sea turtles hatch. If you come at the right time, you can witness mother turtles laying hundreds of eggs overnight in the soft sand on the coast, and much later, those hundreds of babies hatch and crawl toward the sea. Come between late August to early October.

Ethiopia

In Lalibela, I am moved by the devotion and faith of pilgrims who have walked for weeks, and hundreds of miles across the country, to celebrate Genna - Ethiopia’s Christmas - on January 7. Here, the year is 2011, since Ethiopia still observes a pre-Julian calendar. I am immediately taken in by the idea of being 7 years younger, albeit for a fleeting moment.

Pilgrims arrive early - between midnight to 5 am -  to get a prized standing spot inside the tiny but iconic Biete Gyorgis. As I watch pilgrims read from their bibles, often from inside their shroud, using a candle or torch, I realize I’ve never seen such fervor in worship.

By 6:30 am, Biete Giyorgis, the iconic rock-hewn church of Lalibela, has no more standing space, so these pilgrims huddle outside and around trees and pray from their copies of the Bible, guided by the chanting from the church, that fills the air with spirituality. It’s poetic and beautiful.

Fez, Morocco, is home to the Dar Batha Museum, a former royal palace turned cultural treasure, showcasing an exquisite collection of Moroccan art and craftsmanship. Built in the 19th century by Sultan Moulay Hassan I, this stunning Andalusian-style palace features intricate tilework, carved cedarwood ceilings, and a peaceful courtyard garden. Today, the museum houses a diverse collection of ceramics, textiles, woodwork, and traditional artifacts, offering visitors a deep insight into Moroccan heritage.
