Florencia Campos Correa, or Flor, is a Chilean-Spanish textile designer and author based in Santiago. Her business, Ullvuna, is dedicated to portable pin loom weaving kits which are available globally. Much of Flor's inspiration comes from her passion and appreciation for Chilean culture and people. She deeply admires the landscapes and nature as well as the ancient fables she absorbed as a child while traveling every corner of Chile by caravan with her family.

Flor has authored several books packed with vibrant pattern inspiration and projects. Her nature motifs are translated into floral crochet designs published in a British magazine and she has penned a children's story which inspires creativity and entrepreneurship in the youngest of budding designers.

Set against the stunning Tyrrhenian Sea along the Amalfi Coast, just 1 hour south of Naples, you’ll gather near Matteotti Square in Vietri sul Mare, a coastal town famous for its ceramics. Using grease pencils on paper, you’ll capture the breathtaking scenery while Elvira, a skilled ceramic artist, shares the town’s rich history and its centuries-old ceramic tradition. Yusuke Nagata is a Tokyo-based photographer and zine maker who documents human society, primarily through street photography. He works in film and darkroom prints.

Widely regarded as a Japan street photography expert by international audiences, he founded Tokyo Street Photography Club in 2018 to build a community of street photographers in Tokyo. In 2023, Yusuke launched the community-based brand FAR EAST DARKROOM, an independent platform publishing zines and prints by emerging photographers from Japan and across Asia for a global audience. His work has been featured in Time Out Tokyo, Japan Camera Hunter, and Fisheye Magazine, and exhibited at venues including Place M in Shinjuku and Taiwan Photo.

Historical Foundations: Your exploration begins with the palace's origins. Commissioned by the Associação Comercial do Porto, its construction was a response to the need for a more substantial stock exchange facility. This undertaking, which commenced in 1842 under the guidance of architect Joaquim da Costa Lima, marked a pivotal moment in Porto's commercial history.

Architectural Fusion: Admire the eclectic architectural styles that blend harmoniously in the Palácio da Bolsa. The exterior, adorned with intricate carvings and sculptures, reflects a mix of Gothic, Baroque, and Moorish influences. There are so many museums and art galleries in Paris that it's hard to decide where to go first. Most tourists want to stand in line at the Louvre, admire Claude Monet, or visit the National Museum of Art – but as so few check out the famous street art of Paris, we knew it was our thing to do.
There is so much history behind each piece of art or painting out there that it is worth investing some extra money and time to immerse yourself in Paris's artistic exploration fully. We did a whole self-organized art walk visiting 7 streets, with an audio tour, and visited the different places on our own (though you can get a personal guide). 
Our highlight was Rue Saint-Maur – a 2km-long street painted mainly by the artist Kashink. The artist plays with classic elements of Parisian street art and combines them with modern political messages.

2. Atti & Figli: This bakery and pasta shop, established in 1880, is known for its traditional bolognese pasta, including lasagna sheets and tortellini. Their freshly baked bread and local pastries, such as crescenta and pan speziale, are also worth trying.

3. Formaggeria Barbieri: A paradise for cheese lovers, this shop offers a wide variety of regional cheeses like Parmigiano-Reggiano and Squacquerone. The knowledgeable staff can guide you through the best pairings for your selections.

4. Paolo Atti & Figli: One of Bologna’s oldest bakeries, this is the place to sample freshly baked crescentine (small bread rolls) or Bolognese sweets like panettone and pinza.

Visitor Tips:
Many shops offer vacuum-sealed packaging for travelers, making it easy to take home specialties like cured meats and cheeses. Be sure to visit early in the day for the freshest selection!

Bologna’s Gourmet Food Shops

The Costa Brava region of Catalonia, Spain, is dotted with charming coastal towns near Begur, each offering a perfect blend of Mediterranean beauty, crystal-clear waters, and historic charm. These seaside villages are known for their hidden coves, picturesque beaches, and whitewashed houses, making them ideal for relaxing, hiking, and enjoying fresh seafood along the coast. Whether you’re seeking quiet coves, scenic hikes, or vibrant culture, these towns offer something for every traveler.

1. Calella de Palafrugell
A postcard-perfect fishing village with whitewashed houses, rocky coves, and the famous El Canadell Beach. Visit in July for the Habaneras Festival, a celebration of traditional sea shanties.

2. Llafranc
Known for its charming promenade and scenic views from the Sant Sebastià Lighthouse, Llafranc is ideal for beachgoers and foodies seeking fresh seafood by the water.

3. Tamariu
A quieter option with a beautiful crescent-shaped beach and turquoise waters, perfect for snorkeling and kayaking. The nearby Camí de Ronda hiking trail offers stunning coastal views.

4. Sa Tuna
A hidden gem near Begur, Sa Tuna is a small cove surrounded by colorful fishermen’s houses and pine-covered cliffs, offering peaceful seclusion and calm waters.

5. Aiguablava
Famous for its crystal-clear waters and sandy beach, Aiguablava is ideal for swimming, paddleboarding, and enjoying scenic dining with sea views.

Visitor Tip: Visit during the early morning or late afternoon to avoid crowds, especially in summer. Driving is the most convenient way to explore these coastal towns, and the Camí de Ronda trail connects many of them for breathtaking coastal hikes.

Coastal towns near Begur

Jamaica

1942: Errol Flynn popularised rafting down the river Rio Grande in Jamaica on bamboo rafts, made of long logs bound together. Fast forward: I'm on a raft for a 3-hour ride and sensory overload: ferns, birds, rapids, butterflies, serenading raft captain. But here’s my favorite part —

After an hour on the river, we dock at Belinda’s Riverside Restaurant, a rustic gem nestled by the Rio Grande. How does this place even exist in the middle of nowhere? Turns out Belinda and team hike a couple of hours across the hills, ingredients in tow, to set up shop each time, serving up Jamaican-style curry goat and fish (take your pick: fried, steamed, or escoveitched). Prepared with love and served alongside rice or bammy. One of my best meals in Jamaica. Call ahead to make sure Belinda’s is open on the day you visit.

I have traveled to Moab, Utah on more than one occasion and every time it has been an absolute blast! This small, more local town is home to some amazing things that you can’t find anywhere else. 

There is a place there that I travel to every time called Mill Creek Canyon. It is a short hike to a watering hole that supplies the river you will have to cross more than once. Once you reach the watering hole, you will find an amazing view and usually many friendly people depending on what time you go. 

Now, it can get pretty hot in Utah so don’t forget the water and the sunblock, as well as a swimming suit!

The main attraction there is the cliff jumping! You can climb up the small waterfall and there will be a small ledge where you can jump from into the freezing water below. Let me tell you, it’s an absolute blast that you will never forget! 

I highly recommend this location to all people, even if you’re just passing through

Greece

Phaistos Palace, one of Crete’s most important Minoan archaeological sites, offers a fascinating glimpse into ancient civilization without the crowds of Knossos. Perched on a hill overlooking the fertile Messara Plain, the site features well-preserved ruins and sweeping views.

Phaistos Palace

A road trip through Spain is literally the best option for those looking for a local, less touristic experience. You can basically rent a car anywhere you want – we started in Barcelona, heading down the coast, and taking stops in Ebro Delta and Denia and other sleepy beach towns down the road. One of our highlights was the Spanish town of Cartagena – a historical hub with beautiful angled roads, traditional culture to explore (expect to be invited to some Cerveza by the locals), and history lessons about Phoenician traders, Roman soldiers, and Christian Reconquistas. If you have some days left, visiting Andalusia is a must. It's by far the most beautiful region in Spain and is known for its majestic horse breed, pristine beaches, hot weather, and super friendly culture. 
All in all, it took us two weeks to get down the coast – but you can make it in a week as well – though you might have less time to explore, sunbathe, and learn about the history of Spain

Türkiye

Karagöl Nature Park, nestled in the mountains near İzmir, offers a peaceful retreat for nature lovers. Australia

If you're looking for an unconventional neighborhood with art galleries, parks to hang out in, and lots of young, trendy people, Newtown is the place for you. I basically spend all my weekends there, drinking coffee, going to book clubs, working at the community kitchen Lentil as Anything, and having a beer at one of the lively bars at night. 

Australians love vintage – which makes Newtown the heaven for vintage clothes, cameras, vinyl records, and much more. I’ve got some new sandals, a polaroid camera, and jewelry, all unique pieces at an amazing price. Worth the hype!

You can easily get there by train, it's just a ride from Town Hall, or simply stay a few days in one of the hostels in Newtown.
