This portrait photography session makes you the main character on the stage of Buenos Aires. Curated by a professional travel photographer whose work has been published all over the world, you will leave the activity with impeccable images commemorating your time in the Argentine capital. Bernardo is a charming host who also peppers this experience with anecdotes about the locations covered, his career as a photographer, and Porteño life. 

Bernardo typically runs this experience in the La Boca neighborhood, where you will pose to an aesthetic backdrop of colorful tenement buildings and street art around Caminito. However, the location may be changed to another barrio such as Puerto Madero, Plaza de Mayo, or Palermo Soho. Bernardo uses a full frame mirrorless camera and pro lenses in order to achieve the maximum image quality. He also uses a professional flash lighting system with diffusers when the natural light isn’t sufficient.

This private photoshoot experience is hosted by a professional travel portrait photographer from Buenos Aires. Bernardo delights just as much in showing travelers around his home city as he does helping them to capture photographic mementos from their time in the Argentine capital. As such, his photoshoot is thoughtful and unhurried, allowing plenty of time to experiment with poses, lighting, and accessorizing (if desired).

La Boca, one of the prettiest and most beguiling neighborhoods, is the stage of the photoshoot. Bernardo will be guided by the natural light, using external flashes and modifiers when needed to create a soft atmosphere for photography. He works around your preferences—suggesting spots to take the photos but also being open to any suggestions. There will be time to capture individual and group photos as well as to change clothing or add accessories. While this experience focuses on photography, Bernardo will share tales and anecdotes as you journey through La Boca.

Al Ramirez, a Porteño Sommelier, will accompany you for the entire day. The outing starts with a blind tasting of four wines at the first winery. This private workshop offers hands-on access to one of Spain’s oldest and most iconic ceramic workshops: the Fajalauza factory. Founded in 1517 and still operated by the Morales family, Fajalauza has been shaping the visual identity of Granada for over 500 years.

You’ll begin with a private tour through its original production site and museum—home to ancient kilns, hand-thrown molds, and decorative pieces that reflect the fusion of Islamic and European styles. As you explore, you’ll learn how Granada’s ceramic language evolved across centuries, adapting to dynasties and shifting cultural forces while staying rooted in the local soil.

Then comes your own initiation into the craft. Guided by master artisans, you’ll sit at the potter’s wheel for a “baptism of clay,” shaping a vessel from scratch. That means talking to locals, walking unfamiliar routes, listening more than looking. “Lisbon isn’t just to be seen, but touched, smelled, and tasted.” It’s not a checklist—it’s a presence.
He also names two challenges: First, Lisbon’s historic neighborhoods are deeply distinct—each like its own mini-city. “Lisbon is multidimensional. It cannot—and should not—be rushed.” Second, mass tourism threatens the local character he cherishes. Responsible travel, he says, is essential to preserve the culture.

Housed in a stunning Modernist building from the early 20th century, the market is a feast for the senses, offering an incredible variety of local produce, cured meats, cheeses, seafood, and traditional delicacies. With its colorful stained glass, intricate tilework, and vibrant atmosphere, the Central Market is both a culinary and architectural gem, making it a must-visit for food lovers and photographers alike.

Central Market of Valencia

Peloponnese, Greece, is home to the legendary Mycenae Archaeological Site, one of the most important ancient sites in the country and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Once the heart of the powerful Mycenaean civilization (1600–1100 BCE), this ancient citadel was famously linked to King Agamemnon, the leader of the Greeks in Homer’s Iliad. Mycenae Archaeological Site

The Museo de Bellas Artes, located in the heart of Seville, is a stunning showcase of Baroque architecture and artistic excellence. With its grand façade, intricate interior details, and an extensive collection spanning centuries, the museum is a must-visit for art lovers and history enthusiasts alike. Museo de Bellas Artes

On a sunrise photo-walk, we are at Piazza San Marco. At 5AM, it’s empty, other than for a few pigeons, and a photo enthusiast like ourselves. And we run across - with tripods - to get to the Canal looking out towards San Giorgio Maggiore Island.

Our objective? To watch and photograph gondolas swaying in the canals of Venice. It’s perfect for long exposure shots. The gondolas and docks are lit up by street lights and the sky has the perfect blend of dark and light.

We then rush over to the vaporetto stand near Europa & Regina Hotel overlooking Basilica di Santa Maria della Salute, for another Gondola scene (pictured) while the light is still good.

So, how many gondolas can you get into one frame?

We head out down the Grand Canal to the Rialto Fish Market. Some sellers are packing up after a good morning, but we’re able to get some great shots of everyday life. 

We walk back over Rialto bridge (great for photos of activity on the Canal) back to the hotel for breakfast.

Chile’s Laguna Chaxa, part of the Los Flamencos National Reserve, is one of the best places in the Atacama Desert to see flamingos in their natural habitat. Located within the vast Salar de Atacama, this shallow, mineral-rich lagoon attracts three species of flamingos—Chilean, Andean, and James’s flamingos—along with other unique birdlife. The salt-crusted landscape, mirror-like waters, and distant Andes Mountains create a truly surreal and unforgettable experience, especially at sunrise or sunset.


1. Flamingo spotting – Watch hundreds of flamingos wading gracefully through the shallow waters, feeding on microscopic algae and crustaceans.

2. Breathtaking reflections – The lagoon’s still waters create stunning mirror-like reflections of the flamingos, the deep blue sky, and the snow-capped Andes.

Flamingo Reserve

Rising majestically above Athens, Mount Lycabettus offers one of the most stunning panoramic views of the city, stretching to the Aegean Sea. At 277 meters (908 feet) above sea level, it’s the highest point in Athens, making it a prime spot for breathtaking sunsets and unforgettable vistas of landmarks like the Acropolis, the Panathenaic Stadium, and the Temple of Olympian Zeus. Steeped in legend, the hill is said to have been created by Athena herself.

Monasterio de la Cartuja

Just a few kilometers south of Essaouira, Morocco, lies the sleepy village of Diabat, forever linked to the legendary musician Jimi Hendrix. Though his visit in 1969 was brief, Hendrix’s presence left a lasting mark on the area’s identity, blending the village’s laid-back atmosphere with a sense of rock ‘n’ roll mystique. Today, Diabat remains a peaceful retreat, known for its windswept beaches, local cafés, and rustic charm, drawing travelers and music lovers eager to connect with this slice of rock history.

Delta de l’Ebre

Marrakech, Morocco, is home to the breathtaking Bahia Palace, a masterpiece of Moroccan architecture that transports visitors to a world of elegance and grandeur. Built in the late 19th century for Grand Vizier Si Moussa and expanded by his son, this palace was designed to be the most magnificent residence of its time. Bahia Palace

A slow-paced night photo walk. On foot over odd shaped cobblestones. 

It does not start well as it starts raining even as we take a cab to Pantheon to meet our local photographer and lose a wallet in the cab. We miraculously get It back (another story) and we start our walk .. lethargic, in deference to summer, but still aware of art and life.

We walk from the Pantheon through Piazza Navona to Ponte Vittorio Emmanuel for views over to the Vatican.  The streets are wet, and Piazza Navona is teeming with Romans doing la passeggiata, an evening ritual I wish we could reapply in other cities. 

Later, joining the locals in their celebration of Summer along River Tiber (Lungo il Tivera Roma) well into midnight, it is easy to forget all about work and settle more definitively into a vacation frame-of-mind. 

Afterwards, a stroll to Campidoglio for priceless views of the illuminated Roman Forum, seems like just the thing to do.
