From the coast, you head inland to the hills where txakoli vineyards cling to steep, terraced slopes. At a small, family-run winery, you see how this lightly sparkling white wine is made from native grapes shaped by Atlantic weather. The tasting is informal and direct, focused on method, land, and continuity.

Cider has been an important drink in Basque culture for centuries. During the Age of Exploration, Basque sailors and whalers carried barrels of cider on long sea voyages from ports like San Sebastián and Pasajes. Today, Basque cider is a protected regional product with an official Denomination of Origin (Sagardoa Euskal Sagardoa), established in 2016. Producers blend traditional techniques with modern quality standards, emphasizing natural fermentation and authentic flavor.

With over 350 vendors, the market can feel overwhelming. Your host will help you navigate, translate and connect with the artisans. Along the way, she’ll photograph you in candid portraits, using the colors and textures of the market as a vivid backdrop.

You’ll meet at least one artisan for a more personal exchange. You’ll gain a deeper understanding of how regional styles and indigenous influences shape Mexican craft today. The tour ends with a stop at Taquería Miranda, a beloved spot known for its simple, perfectly made tacos. After the tour, you’ll receive a curated digital photo gallery to remember it all.

La Ciudadela is a living archive of Mexican craftsmanship. Your host, Marie, knows the space well and will guide you through its busiest corners with context and care. Marie Fernández is a Mexican photographer who grew up in Mexico City. From 2017 to 2019, she studied photography in Paris and graduated as a photojournalist and documentary photographer. She is currently a member of Hans Lucas, the French international photo agency, as well as the Women Photographers History collective.

In this experience, she combines her photography skills with her passion for welcoming people to her home city and helping visitors experience the best it has to offer. With Marie, you won’t just receive a collection of beautiful portraits from your time in Mexico City—you’ll also get to know the city more deeply and feel at home.

Chile

Chilean textile entrepreneur Florencia “Flor” Campos Correa has curated this experience as a cultural commentary on Chilean/Andean handcrafts and an opportunity to connect with modern makers in Santiago. 

It starts with a relaxed hike up the grassy slopes of Cerro Calán in Las Condes for panoramic views of the modern city and surrounding Andes — the birthplace of Chilean textile crafts. During this, Flor explains artisanal culture and discusses how her own methods fuse Indigenous, modern, and global techniques. This gentle walk takes around an hour and is suitable for most fitness levels. 

The second part of the experience takes place at Los Dominicos Craft Village, a traditional heritage zone and cultural hub dating to 1544. Flor will enable conversations with artisans and provide cultural context to their methods. She will help you buy trinkets typical of Chile: textiles, ceramics, woodwork, copperware, lapis lazuli and Mapuche silver. There is one stop for empanadas in the market.

Flor's experience is an opportunity to learn about Chilean textile culture in a natural setting and connect with authentic artisans. 

The first part of the activity takes place in one of Flor’s favorite hiking spots in the upscale Las Condes district, where you'll learn about the cultural significance of handmade crafts to a backdrop of nature and urban. As a textile industrial designer who has traveled extensively around Chile, Flor is a fountain of knowledge about her country and its makers; she looks to the past while embracing innovation in her line of work.

The rest of the experience is spent meandering the stalls of the famous Los Dominicos Craft Village. Artisans set up workshops in these adobe structures during the 1970s/1980s which now function as a shopping hub with informal demonstrations. Flor's bilingual presence facilitates discussion and creates a richer, more immersive experience. She will explain the significance of materials and motifs displayed at these stalls.

Florencia Campos Correa, or Flor, is a Chilean-Spanish textile designer and author based in Santiago. Her business, Ullvuna, is dedicated to portable pin loom weaving kits which are available globally. Much of Flor's inspiration comes from her passion and appreciation for Chilean culture and people. She deeply admires the landscapes and nature as well as the ancient fables she absorbed as a child while traveling every corner of Chile by caravan with her family.

Flor has authored several books packed with vibrant pattern inspiration and projects. Her nature motifs are translated into floral crochet designs published in a British magazine and she has penned a children's story which inspires creativity and entrepreneurship in the youngest of budding designers. 

This is a photographic exploration of CityLife, Milan’s bold and architecturally significant expression of contemporary design. Starting among the district’s three iconic towers — Isozaki’s sleek vertical “Dritto,” Hadid’s dynamic spiral “Storto,” and Libeskind’s concave “Curvo” — you’ll frame their distinct profiles against the setting sun and evolving skyline. Emanuele, a professional photographer deeply familiar with Milan’s urban transformations, shares techniques to capture structure, scale, and subtle reflections in glass and steel.

Your path continues into the open expanse of CityLife Park, where architectural precision meets green serenity. You’ll focus on the play of light and shadows on curves, benches, fountains, and paths, revealing the district’s elegant rhythm. Emanuele guides you in finding tension between built form and organic textures.

This experience unfolds in one of Milan’s most visionary districts, where three of the world’s leading architects —Zaha Hadid, Daniel Libeskind, and Arata Isozaki — have reshaped the skyline with bold, sculptural towers. Unlike the city’s historic core, CityLife rarely features in traditional itineraries, yet it reveals a marked shift in Milan’s identity: fluid lines, reflective surfaces, and sweeping urban volumes that respond to space and light in unexpected ways.

Emanuele Dello Strologo lives between Genoa and Milan and has been photographing with passion for over 12 years. His journey began as a self-taught photographer and quickly evolved into professional collaborations, first with Corbis and then with Getty Images. Through these experiences, he shaped the visual language that defines his work today. Emanuele focuses on reportage, portraiture, street and black-and-white photography — genres that continue to inspire him deeply. He often carries his camera with him, always on the lookout for meaningful moments in everyday life. His images reflect a keen eye for detail and a deep curiosity about the world around him.

This 3-hour photography experience takes place on the periphery of Valparaíso in the Playa Ancha district. Upon meeting your host in a storied cafe, you'll warm up over coffee while shooting textured interiors and panoramic vistas from the roof terrace. David will then weave you past pastel-hued mansions from the 19th century and neighborhood bakeries, sharing photography tips and anecdotes.

A leisurely gander brings you to Paseo 21 de Mayo—one of Valparaíso's most enthralling viewpoints. It's wise to carry cash should you wish to purchase a souvenir from the street vendors who you'll liaise with through Daniel. The route then passes through narrow streets adorned with murals and "playful" photo spots where you have a choice of sampling a completo (Chilean hot dog) or empanada and an ice cream with humble origins and a curious legacy. The experience ends at the oldest mansion on Cerro Artillería—a photographic treasure trove—where you may opt to stick around for lunch or a Pisco Sour.

Not only does this experience expose a neighborhood where few tourists tread, but your host will train your eye on hidden details. He works with a Canon DSLR, using 50mm and 18-55mm lenses for regular shots and a 300mm lens to capture distant subjects with clarity and depth.

David draws upon his extensive archive of travel photography experiences while mentoring those visiting Valparaíso on how to capture the beauty of a city and why you should look beyond what's at eye level.

Your destination is a working estate known not only for wine, but also for small-batch gin and culinary ingredients sourced directly from the land. Once there, you’ll explore the vineyards, taste Port Tonic and estate-distilled gin, and visit a small museum tracing the evolution of the property—from early viticulture to diversified production.

Unlike most river trips, this experience takes you directly to the heart of the Douro’s terraced landscape in a silent, solar-powered boat that docks at the foot of a working vineyard. From there, you’ll climb aboard a vintage Bedford van for a short but scenic ride up to a historic quinta. Essaouira, Morocco, is home to the iconic Skala de la Ville, a historic fortification built in the 18th century to defend the city against maritime invasions. Stretching along the edge of the medina, the ramparts offer panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean, the bustling Port of Essaouira, and the distant Îles Purpuraires. Famous for its bronze cannons lined up along the sea wall, this scenic spot also served as a filming location for productions like Game of Thrones. A walk along the ramparts offers visitors a perfect blend of history, breathtaking views, and incredible photo opportunities.

Skala de la Ville

India

My taxi driver, Chand, tries his best to persuade me to change the plan - “K.R. Market is a complete mess in the rainy season”, he argues, and for effect, twists his head around to the back seat to look at my tunic, shakes his head, and declares woefully — “You will be covered in mud and smelly water”. Sadly for him, I can’t resist a wholesale flower market. 

At sunrise every day, the southern end of Avenue Road lines up with a couple hundred flower vendors. Business between 5 to 8 a.m. is hectic and noisy.. Since it’s well past 10 a.m. now, I weave my way instead through stalls of vegetables, fruits and spices to find the building where these vendors disappear to after their morning sales. 

Chand is right about the mulch smells and slushy floors.  Climb up to the second floor to find a quiet spot to view the action from above. Or wander through the narrow passages, as I do, stepping around baskets full of flowers. 

For the record, my tunic remains mud-and-slush-free.

Bed of Roses

Teos Ancient City is a peaceful archaeological site blending history and nature. Once a thriving cultural hub in ancient Ionia, it now offers well-preserved ruins, including a grand theater and the Temple of Dionysus. Its tranquil surroundings, shaded by olive groves, make it a serene spot for exploration.

The Generalife Palace, located in the Alhambra complex in Granada, Spain, is a stunning example of Islamic architecture and one of the most beautiful parts of this UNESCO World Heritage site. Originally built in the 13th century as a summer palace and retreat for the Nasrid sultans, the Generalife is renowned for its lush gardens, tranquil courtyards, and spectacular views of Granada and the surrounding mountains.
