This experience takes you to Bursa, a city that played a crucial role in the silk trade during the Ottoman Empire. About 2 hours drive from Istanbul, Bursa is renowned for its high-quality silk production and markets. Your journey begins with a guided tour of the traditional silk production process, from the cultivation of silkworms to spinning raw silk into delicate threads. You'll visit working silk farms and small, artisanal workshops where centuries-old techniques are still used today​. After exploring these craft centers, your journey continues at the historic Aynalı Çarşı, a vibrant silk market that dates back to the 14th century. It hosts over 500 stalls and brings together ingredients and street foods from across Mexico and Latin America. Spain

From November through April, this experience plunges you into Catalonia’s artichoke season. A 30-minute private transfer (20 km) from Barcelona brings you to a farmhouse nestled in the fertile Llobregat Delta — a region where artichokes dominate 25 % of cultivated land. On arrival, you’ll walk among squat, glossy-leafed plants and harvest plump artichoke buds — grown in mineral-rich delta soil and kissed by sea breezes — with their peak sweetness emerging in winter’s cool days. You’ll hear how delta silt and Mediterranean humidity coax their dense, nutty flavor.

Back at the farmhouse grill, the chef shows you how to steam, char, and dress the artichoke leaves — steaming to preserve green depth, lightly charring to add smoke, dunking leaves in lemon-olive aioli or piquant romesco. Florencia Campos Correa, or Flor, is a Chilean-Spanish textile designer and author based in Santiago. Her business, Ullvuna, is dedicated to portable pin loom weaving kits which are available globally. Much of Flor's inspiration comes from her passion and appreciation for Chilean culture and people. She deeply admires the landscapes and nature as well as the ancient fables she absorbed as a child while traveling every corner of Chile by caravan with her family.

Flor has authored several books packed with vibrant pattern inspiration and projects. Her nature motifs are translated into floral crochet designs published in a British magazine and she has penned a children's story which inspires creativity and entrepreneurship in the youngest of budding designers.

I remember wandering through narrow streets and finding tiny bars with real flamenco. It felt genuinely lived in.”
 “Tourism has definitely changed things,” she admits. “Places like La Rambla are overcrowded. Many locals have been pushed out by the rise in tourist rentals. But Catalans are proud of their traditions. They’ve started resisting these changes to preserve the city’s character.” That character is what Manila has grown to love. “I chose Barcelona because I felt an immediate connection. The Mediterranean lifestyle, the weather, the proximity to mountains and sea — it feels like home but also stretches me outside my comfort zone.” She relishes the contrast to her native Sicily. “I can take a train and be skiing in the Pyrenees in just over an hour. Where else do you get that?”
What keeps her in Barcelona is the balance of tradition and openness. “The cuisine, the olive groves, the vineyards — they remind me of southern Italy, but they’re uniquely Catalan.” And the city’s connectivity has made it easy to stay rooted while maintaining close ties to Italy. She speaks with admiration about the people: “Catalans are proud, resilient, and united. They have a strong sense of identity and community. In the mist-covered Blue Mountains of Jamaica lies the enchanting Holywell Park, a hidden gem that whispers stories of nature's wonders. Amidst the lush greenery, we embarked on a long walk with a local guide, seeking tranquility. We wandered through the verdant trails, each turn unveiling a canvas of vibrant ferns, towering trees, and melodious bird songs that filled the air.

Holywell Recreational Park, situated about 3,000 feet above sea level and roughly an hour's drive from Kingston, is a haven for nature enthusiasts. The park, part of the Blue and John Crow Mountains, is a lush sanctuary that boasts several species of ferns among other flora like wild raspberries, cheeseberries, epiphytes, nasturtiums, impatients, and notable trees including the Blue Mahoe (Jamaica’s national tree), Caribbean Pine, and Milkwood. The park also supports various species of endemic birds. It offers a range of trails with varying difficulties, from easy to moderate, and can take anywhere from 20 to 90 minutes to complete, providing an immersive nature experience amidst the cooler mountain temperatures.
