Greece

This walk traces lesser-known paths along the caldera, beyond the main trail most visitors follow. It begins above Oia, where the island opens up to expansive views, then branches off into routes that wind past deserted caves, lava-shaped spires, and small chapels carved into the cliffside. It’s for those who want to see what the typical postcards leave out.

From the ridges of Imerovigli and Firostefani to a secluded stretch near Megalochori, the route connects volcanic outcrops, historic windmills, and viewpoints where the caldera seems to fold into the sky. Each pause brings something different: a lookout known only to locals, a windmill bathing in sunlight, a chapel whose bell waits for no one.

Midway, you’ll stop at a family-run Faros Market to meet its owner — another Maria and her loved ones — known for their warm welcome and home-cooked treats. The walk ends near Akrotiri Lighthouse, where the island seems to exhale into the sea, sharing a picnic at sunset.

The ceremonies of Holy Week date back to the Middle Ages and are linked to the Spanish liturgy, as Spaniards dominated the island for a long time.

Bosa’s Easter celebration reaches its emotional peak with S’Incontru (The Encounter), a procession that takes place at dawn on Easter Sunday. Two separate processions begin their solemn journey—one carrying the statue of the Risen Christ, the other bearing the Virgin Mary dressed in black. As they wind through the town's narrow, historic streets, led by locals in traditional Sardinian attire, the atmosphere builds with anticipation. This portrait photography session makes you the main character on the stage of Buenos Aires. Curated by a professional travel photographer whose work has been published all over the world, you will leave the activity with impeccable images commemorating your time in the Argentine capital. Bernardo is a charming host who also peppers this experience with anecdotes about the locations covered, his career as a photographer, and Porteño life. 

Bernardo typically runs this experience in the La Boca neighborhood, where you will pose to an aesthetic backdrop of colorful tenement buildings and street art around Caminito. However, the location may be changed to another barrio such as Puerto Madero, Plaza de Mayo, or Palermo Soho. Bernardo uses a full frame mirrorless camera and pro lenses in order to achieve the maximum image quality. This 10-square-meter corner is a tribute to family memories, bringing to you the recipes his grandmother used to cook at home for him, his grandfather, and the rest of the family.

You’ll taste pasta, meatballs, mini panini with ragù, and other traditional recipes from a Roman family just as Nonna served them. Federico cooks in front of you and tells stories of growing up between pots of tomato sauce and lovingly strict grandmothers who always said, “You must become stronger!” Every bite is served with a glass of wine and a dose of nostalgia.
