Set in a traditional riad, the evening unfolds in three parts: a guided lecture, a live Sufi music ritual, and an intimate dinner. This is an experience designed for the curious and contemplative. The session begins with a storytelling session inspired by the scholarly gatherings of Ben Youssef Madrasa. Following this, a female Sufi music ensemble performs Hadra rituals—an ancient, rhythmic spiritual tradition using chants and percussion to evoke presence and devotion. Eventually, you will continue the discussion with the storyteller in a warm, reflective setting.

This experience is modeled on the structure of traditional Sufi gatherings—where knowledge is shared through presence, rhythm, and intimate dialogue. This experience begins with a walk through the historic center of Tempio Pausania, known as the “City of Stone” for its granite buildings. The route leads to the old railway station, a Liberty-style building opened in 1931, with original wooden interiors and pictures by Sardinian artist Giuseppe Biasi.

The highlight is a private, exclusive performance by the Coro Gabriel, one of Sardinia’s oldest vocal ensembles. They sing the tasgia, a rare polyphonic chant that evolved from the UNESCO-listed canto a tenore. Unlike its predecessor, the tasgia features all four voices singing lyrics and includes improvisational shifts in tone and harmony, echoing elements of jazz. With fewer than twenty practitioners left, this is a rare chance to hear it live.

Gianmario, a native of Tempio and a member of the choir, shares insights into this evolving tradition. His ties to the group offer an intimate perspective on Sardinian culture, set in the town that has long been the cultural heart of Gallura.

Gianmario Pedroni is a Sardinia-born professional photographer. After honing his skills in England, he specialized in advertising, fashion, and design, collaborating with prominent photographers and brands. In 2009, he returned to Sardinia to establish his studio, focusing on the island's breathtaking landscapes and vibrant culture. He is also a singer in a traditional choir that performs the tasgia, one of Sardinia’s rarest polyphonic chants, and has long been immersed in the region’s musical heritage, especially the vocal traditions of Gallura.

The beauty of Kyoto's four distinct seasons are celebrated in images of exploding cherry blossoms, lush green moss gardens, fiery autumn foliage, and snow-blanketed temples. Beyond the natural beauty of Kyoto is its remarkably distinct cuisine based on seasonally available ingredients. 

Meet your host, Eric, at the first venue of your multi-course experience. After learning about seasonal ingredients, enjoy your first course of seasonal dishes and become familiar with the type of sake that goes best with it.
After a relaxing time at the first venue, Eric will lead you to another of his favorite restaurants  to sample more seasonal dishes in another chic location, again paired with Japanese sake.

Throughout the evening, Eric shares fascinating and useful information about Kyoto cuisine which will add to your dining experience through your stay in the city. The seasonal menu changes around May/June and Oct/Nov; enjoy a completely different experience at least twice a year.

Originally from Toronto, Canada, Eric has been living in Kyoto for over 22 years. He first came to Kyoto to complete his Master’s degree in Japanese Art History and now works as a teacher and translator. Since 2022, he has been running a monthly pop-up restaurant, serving Cantonese-inspired dishes. Well connected with the art and culinary communities in Kyoto, he is eager to share this wonderful city with visitors. 

This private workshop offers hands-on access to one of Spain’s oldest and most iconic ceramic workshops: the Fajalauza factory. Founded in 1517 and still operated by the Morales family, Fajalauza has been shaping the visual identity of Granada for over 500 years.

You’ll begin with a private tour through its original production site and museum—home to ancient kilns, hand-thrown molds, and decorative pieces that reflect the fusion of Islamic and European styles. As you explore, you’ll learn how Granada’s ceramic language evolved across centuries, adapting to dynasties and shifting cultural forces while staying rooted in the local soil.

Then comes your own initiation into the craft. Guided by master artisans, you’ll sit at the potter’s wheel for a “baptism of clay,” shaping a vessel from scratch. The session includes Andalusian tapas and a drink, served on-site. Your finished piece will be fired and available for pickup in a week, or can be shipped to you for a supplementary fee.

This private, rare-access workshop lets you go behind the scenes of Fajalauza—Granada’s most iconic ceramic tradition, practiced since 1517. Run by the Morales family for generations, this factory is the last of its kind still producing glazed and hand-painted pottery using methods rooted in Islamic and Mozarab craftsmanship.

Fajalauza ceramics have decorated homes, marked street names and even replaced damaged tiles in the Alhambra’s Patio de los Arrayanes. Its signature green and blue motifs—vines, birds, heraldic emblems—speak to a style that has endured conquest and mass production. This is truly a living heritage that has nearly vanished elsewhere. 

The factory/studio are typically closed to the public, and your access is part of a broader effort to protect and pass on this legacy. Here, with the Morales team, you’ll take part in a 500-year-old practice—shaped by continuity, as you creating your own ceramic piece: a cup or bowl. The Fundación Fajalauza now works to safeguard the historic site, protect traditional methods, and share the knowledge held by the last generation of master artisans.

This experience is a thread through Bordeaux that ties the city’s most unsettling truths to the stories people still whisper. Falset (Priorat Wine Region)

San Giusto Castle, a historic fortress in Trieste, stands majestically on the hill of the same name. Built on the ruins of a Venetian castle, its origins date back to the 15th century. Roughly 300 years older than Miramare Castle, it offers a panoramic view of the city, the Adriatic Sea, and the surrounding mountains​​. Why visit?

Portugal’s Fluviário de Mora, located in the heart of the Alentejo region, is a unique freshwater aquarium dedicated to the rivers and aquatic ecosystems of Portugal and beyond. Opened in 2007, it offers an educational and immersive experience, showcasing native and exotic freshwater species while raising awareness about the importance of freshwater conservation. Fluviário de Mora

Argentina

The largest (not highest) waterfalls in the world are located in Puerto Iguazu, Argentina. It's a breathtaking spectacle to hear, see and feel the masses of water cascading down the landscape, and along the way, you'll see beautiful rainbows, coatis, and birds.
To get there, you'll fly to Puerto Iguazú and stay at one of the local hostels. We took this colorful train to the falls, and then you hike a bit on very accessible trails. Take your camera, because you'll want to show these views to your friends and family back home. Later in the evening you can watch the sunset and have a nice view of the three-country border – a river that separates Argentina, Paraguay and Brazil.
After visiting the Argentine side of the falls, you can take a trip to Brazil to experience the other side of the falls as well. On the Brazilian side, you can also visit a local botanical garden where you can observe mockingbirds, butterflies, monkeys, and other tropical animals.

Visiting Quito, a detour should be made to the “ACTUAL Equator” museum. Only a 50 meters from where it was thought the equator passed, this used science to actually find the equator. The tour guide explains a bit about Ecuador and then shows why this is the center of the earth, with a few fun examples. The water really does flush in the opposite direction in the Southern Hemisphere and apparently this is due to the Earth’s centripetal force.
