Here you’ll find more than thirty species of native flora, planted to attract pollinators, provide food and medicine, and serve as a living lab for textile and dye experimentation.

You'll learn about the history and cultural value of these plants native to the Valley of Mexico — including dye species such as marigold (cempasúchil), pericón, and muicle, used for centuries as pigments for textiles and paints. These plants are living symbols of tradition and ancestral knowledge, a heritage you’ll explore through hands-on learning. You’ll also experiment with natural dyeing and botanical printing on cotton, linen or silk.

Meet at the store "Donde Clara" on calle Amsterdam and then go through a secret passage to access the rooftop of the store. The access includes a steep metal staircase, not ideal for those with mobility restrictions. 

Clara is a passionate advocate for natural fibers, artisanal processes, and textile self-sufficiency. This dedication led her to create her space in Mexico City, a haberdashery designed to inspire creativity and reconnect makers with traditional craft materials. Every object is carefully curated to spark imagination, from native cottons and handspun silks to handmade papers, natural waxes, wools, and bulk natural dyes—offering an array of things to make things.

Clara shares this space with her expert colleague, Mariana, whose curiosity and knowledge enrich every workshop. Türkiye

Capture the beauty of Tuz Gölü, Turkey’s second-largest lake, known for its crystal-clear reflections and stunning sunsets. Perfect for photographers eager to capture the vast, serene expanses of the Anatolian plateau, this workshop offers an in-depth exploration of reflection and landscape photography. Start your day with a scenic drive from Cappadocia to Salt Lake, followed by a delightful lunch of special Turkish steak in Aksaray. As the sun begins to set, you’ll have the opportunity to photograph a variety of subjects—from majestic horses to elegant ballerinas—mirrored against the expansive sky. The day concludes with a satisfying dinner at a local way station, where you can choose from a diverse menu, before your return to Cappadocia. Daniel Flores is a Mexican artist and the director of the Producción Gráfica Zanate printmaking workshop. He specializes in graphic arts and printmaking and has participated in numerous group exhibitions throughout Mexico and internationally. He has also received several grants for projects focused on graphic and plastic arts production within various communities across the state of Oaxaca. Daniel has been working professionally in the Mexican art world since 2002.

He founded Gráfica Zanate in 2007, and the studio continues to produce annual printmaking portfolios in collaboration with artists from Oaxaca, Puebla, Mexico City, and abroad.

Alongside Daniel, the "maestro" of Gráfica Zanate, you’ll meet the studio’s team of experienced local artists: Viridiana Carmona, Marco Patiño, and Marco Antonio Santos.

Italy

In the heart of Mamoiada, behind a solid façade from the late 1800s, an ancestral granite cellar opens its doors for rare, intimate wine experiences. Once the home of Luca’s maternal grandparents, the house was carefully restored in the early 2000s, preserving its original Sardinian architecture.

Inside, thick stone walls embrace rooms filled with solid wood furniture, faded family portraits, and the scent of time. A small display of traditional winemaking tools tells another story—the press, the granite grinder, the wooden vat.

Here, you’ll taste two of Luca’s wines made from Cannonau and Granatza grapes, paired with local cheese and cured meats. As you sip, he shares family memories and village tales, tracing the bond between his roots and this land.

This is much more than a tasting—it’s a quiet conversation inside Mamoiada’s soul, where wine carries the weight of time and stories linger in every corner.

Luca Gungui is a winemaker and native of Mamoiada, a small village in the heart of Sardinia where wine is a family tradition and a way of life. After years of working in communication, Luca chose to return to his origins and dedicate himself fully to wine, blending modern sensibility with deep respect for ancestral knowledge.

He produces his wines from native Sardinian varieties grown in high-altitude vineyards between 500 and 850 meters above sea level. His work is guided by the belief that each bottle can carry the memory of the people, places, and traditions that shaped it. Hosting guests in his family’s 19th-century home, he shares not only wine, but a living connection to Mamoiada’s soul.

Spain

This 8 hour high-end experience takes you deep into Seville’s culture and history, all led by a cast of local historians and experts.

You’ll start with two of Seville’s most important architectural landmarks: the Alcázar and the Cathedral. You'll then slip into spaces off the tourist path, such as private areas of Seville's historic City Hall, a private palace still lived in today, and a sacred brotherhood's richly decorated chapel - a "jewel box" that is almost never seen by outsiders.

Along the way, your host will contextualize the city's Catholic, Moorish, and Jewish legacies, overlap, exchange, and transformation. You’ll walk through the old city on a route of nunneries, where you’ll taste pastries made by cloistered sisters.

The experience closes with one or two musical interludes, depending on availability: watch a flamenco artist rehearse and/or sit in on the Seville Symphony Orchestra (ROSS) rehearsal—with a brief meet-and-talk with the conductor when schedules allow.

Guided by a master artist, you’ll first delve into the historical, cultural and spiritual depth behind Ebru’s fluid designs, then experience a live demonstration of foundational techniques. You'll learn how to hold the brush, apply vibrant natural pigments, and guide the floating colors into intricate shapes like "battal" (stone pattern) or "nightingale's nest." As the pigments dance on water, you’ll gain insight into the meanings woven into each pattern. With hands-on guidance, you’ll create two marbled paper designs to take home—a lasting piece of Turkish art and culture, made by you.

What makes this experience truly special is the host Nesime, a master artist who has been practicing Ebru for over a decade. You’ll be welcomed into her private gallery. She will guide you through the technical foundations—holding special brushes, applying pigments, using the “tekne” (water tray), and shaping intricate patterns—explaining the symbolism of each design. You’ll learn how Ebru uses natural pigments that float on a thickened liquid, allowing for a unique interplay of color and texture. Ebru’s unpredictability requires patience and mindfulness, as pigments respond to the slightest movements on water—a meditative practice that embodies nature’s interconnectedness and beauty​. 

You’ll also see firsthand the versatility of Ebru beyond paper, with traditional designs on scarves, ceramics, and Turkish coffee sets, connecting past and present through art. Nesime Kantar, an alumna of Mimar Sinan University with a background in Sociology, is an accomplished Ebru artist with over 20 years of experience. Having trained with renowned marblers and calligraphers, she studied classical bookbinding and miniature art, blending multiple Turkish art forms in her work. Since 2009, she has taught Ebru at her Galatart Workshop, where her background and personal dedication bring depth and authenticity to every workshop.

Argentina

This 3.5-hour photography experience takes place in two of the most beautiful and culturally rich neighborhoods in Buenos Aires: La Boca and San Telmo. Led by a professional travel photographer from Buenos Aires, you will explore these streets with your own camera and learn how to capture the kinds of imagery usually seen in guidebooks and brochures.  Bernardo will steer you past iconic sights and down hidden passageways, illuminating architectural features easily spotted by the typical traveler. You will also fall into the natural rhythm of these bohemian districts and hear about the people who have shaped their development over the centuries.

The experience is designed for beginner photographers through to those with an existing knowledge of photography. It is best experienced with a DSLR or mirrorless camera however cell phones are also welcome. Tripods are not necessary although carrying a variety of lenses is a bonus.

This photographic experience is designed to introduce you to the most bohemian, visually enticing, and culturally stimulating neighborhoods in Buenos Aires. Rather than a standard walking tour, you will explore La Boca and San Telmo from the perspective of a professional photographer, an artist, and a Porteño local. Bernardo will guide you along La Caminito—the “Little Street” also referred to as an open-air street museum—where you will be immersed in the area’s vibrant history of tango and street art. From behind the lens, you will trace (and capture) the contrasts between these colorful tenement residences and modern structures.

You will also explore the bustling market which has stood in San Telmo since the late 19th century and pass by one of the oldest churches in Buenos Aires and the city’s narrowest house. Delivered at an unhurried pace, you will fall into the natural rhythm of these historic barrios and have the opportunity to capture everyday life as well as the buildings.

Bernardo Galmarini is a professional photographer from Buenos Aires, Argentina, specializing in travel and architectural photography. As a freelance photographer, his work has been published in the most prestigious newspapers, books, travel guides, and magazines worldwide including National Geographic, the Michelin Travel Guide, Lonely Planet, and The New York Post. Among his numerous accolades, he has claimed top prize in the "Luxury Travel Guide Awards" four times.

In order to share his knowledge, talent, and passion with other curious travelers, Bernardo has curated his own photography tours, workshops, and photoshoots in Buenos Aires as well as other locations around Argentina. These are designed to accommodate novice photographers new to the art as well as experienced photographers seeking ways of improvement. 

This experience begins with a walk through the historic center of Tempio Pausania, known as the “City of Stone” for its granite buildings. The route leads to the old railway station, a Liberty-style building opened in 1931, with original wooden interiors and pictures by Sardinian artist Giuseppe Biasi.

The highlight is a private, exclusive performance by the Coro Gabriel, one of Sardinia’s oldest vocal ensembles. They sing the tasgia, a rare polyphonic chant that evolved from the UNESCO-listed canto a tenore. Unlike its predecessor, the tasgia features all four voices singing lyrics and includes improvisational shifts in tone and harmony, echoing elements of jazz. With fewer than twenty practitioners left, this is a rare chance to hear it live.

Gianmario, a native of Tempio and a member of the choir, shares insights into this evolving tradition. His ties to the group offer an intimate perspective on Sardinian culture, set in the town that has long been the cultural heart of Gallura.

What makes this experience special is the rare chance to meet the singers themselves and hear the tasgia performed in a setting that enhances both its sound and meaning. This chant survives only in northern Sardinia, and is normally preserved within small, tight-knit communities. Here, it opens up to you.

The performance takes place inside Tempio’s old train station, a quiet, evocative building from the 1930s. It's the only public site in Sardinia where you can still see original murals by Giuseppe Biasi, one of Sardinia’s most important painters, whose work shaped the island’s modern visual identity.

Gianmario, the bass voice of the choir, welcomes you into this world not as a spectator passing by, but as a guest who is invited to immerse in the shared emotion of it. His role in the group opens the door to an intimate exchange with the other singers, offering rare access to a tradition that continues to evolve—yet remains deeply rooted in place.

Catedral de la Santa Cruz

My sister and I flew into Las Vegas to then see the Grand Canyon. We woke early to get picked up at our hotel and the tour took us to the Hoover Dam, a stop on Route 66 (where the Cars movie took place), and finally the Grand Canyon. We did an easy hike but it took about 4 hours. We stopped multiple times for pictures. It was amazing. The pictures don’t do it justice. 

My sister and I wish we had spent more time there and maybe hiking a different trail.
