Conquering the Toubkal Summit

The trek to Toubkal Summit is a two-day challenging climb through Morocco's High Atlas Mountains, starting from the village of Imlil. You will ascend the trail through diverse landscapes, including lush valleys and rocky terrains, culminating at Toubkal Refuge for an overnight stay. The final push to the summit offers breathtaking panoramic views stretching from the Marrakech plains to the vast expanse of the Sahara. The climb, while strenuous due to the rapid altitude gain, is achievable for those with good fitness and provides an exhilarating sense of accomplishment. The trek includes an overnight stay at the Toubkal Refuge area, where you’ll be accommodated in a private/double room with ensuite bath. Dress for mountain conditions: sturdy boots, waterproof jacket, warm layers, gloves, sun hat/cream, fleece/anorak for winter. Refillable water bottle and day pack for essentials. Toilet Paper. If you need a trekking pole, let Ahmed know in advance. Also inform him of any medical conditions or physical limitations. Be prepared for altitude, and respect Berber customs in the villages you pass. Travelers should arrange their own travel insurance for peace of mind in case of illness or accident.
