What is this?
This guided art history tour offers an immersive exploration of Mexico City’s artistic evolution in the Historic Center, from ancient archaeological ruins to a contemporary art installation housed in a 17th-century church. Along the way, you'll encounter Diego Rivera’s iconic murals and explore thought-provoking exhibitions showcasing Mexico’s most innovative contemporary artists, all with expert insights and context from knowledgeable art historians.
Mexico City has been a vibrant hub of creativity and artistic expression since its very origins, shaped by the convergence of diverse cultures and eras. It remains a unique city where cutting-edge contemporary and international projects coexist with artistic expressions deeply rooted in history and local traditions. There’s never been a better time to experience its thriving creative energy. This private walking tour highlights how history, architecture and creative movements continuously shape the city's identity and cultural landscape.
