Francesco Verolino
What is this?
This is an exclusive street photography experience in Naples, led by a professional photographer born and raised in the city. Deeply connected to Naples, he knows its rhythms, hidden corners, and the stories behind every alley. Through his guidance, you’ll explore the city beyond the usual postcard views, capturing its raw beauty and daily life.
The experience takes you to Rione Sanità and Quartieri Spagnoli, two historic neighborhoods full of character, where Naples reveals its most authentic side. Here, people live in the streets, and every moment is a potential photograph. You’ll document real encounters, observe light and shadow playing on ancient facades, and immerse yourself in the city's unique atmosphere.
This is more than a photography session—it’s a chance to see Naples through a local expert’s eyes. You’ll engage with its people, discover unexpected details, and leave with a collection of images that tell a true and personal story of the city.
What makes this unique?
Photography is at the heart of this experience, but what you’ll take away is much deeper—a lasting bond with Naples. This is not a workshop, yet you’ll learn more than just technique. Whether you're experienced or simply passionate, you’ll discover a new way to approach the streets with your camera.
Guiding you is Francesco Verolino, a Master photographer specialized in street photography, born and raised in Naples. His trained eye reveals the city's soul, from hidden corners to the elusive light admired by Caravaggio. He’ll take you to places even locals don’t know, offering access to the city’s most intimate layers.
Through Francesco, you won’t just observe—you’ll connect. You'll interact with Neapolitans, hear their stories, and understand their world before capturing it. Breaks become moments of cultural exchange, shifting from fast snapshots to meaningful, slow photography. Expect to unveil the "veiled" secrets only a true local can share.
What is the profile of the host?
Francesco Verolino is a street photographer based in Naples and Essaouira who has turned his passion into a career focused on street and social documentary photography. Originally trained in economics and working as a business consultant, he was influenced by his grandfather, a painter, developing a deep sensitivity to light and composition.
Francesco’s work explores the relationship between individuals and urban spaces to convey the raw essence of his subjects. Since 2020, he has been sharing his expertise through workshops and masterclasses, bringing more people into the world of street photography. His "Slow Photography" philosophy emphasizes patience, immersion, and understanding places before capturing them.
