A standout feature of Cuglieri's Easter celebration is the liturgical songs performed by the choir "a cuncordu," offering a touching and unforgettable experience that will resonate long after the event.

At the heart of Cuglieri’s Holy Week are traditions that blend raw spirituality with centuries-old rituals. During the solemn Mass, the choir "a cuncordu" performs the Miserere, their voices weaving an ancient polyphonic tapestry of devotion. This distinctive singing style, carried by four male voices (bassu, contra, mesa boghe, and boghe), resonates deeply in the sacred silence, offering unforgettable, evocative moments of connection to a tradition passed down through generations. The experience reaches its emotional peak during the Procession of the Dead Christ, a solemn parade through the village’s narrow streets. Statues of the deposed Christ and the Madonna Addolorata are carried with reverence, the flicker of candlelight illuminating faces etched with devotion. Then, a traditional lunch is shared with the Cantori (singers). It’s an immersion into a living tradition that binds faith, culture, and community in a warm and communal atmosphere, with a deep sense of belonging.
