What is this?

Start your day with an invigorating run through Rome’s Aqueduct Park, where ancient engineering marvels rise majestically amid lush greenery, blending history and nature in a breathtaking setting. This experience offers a unique way to explore one of Rome’s most stunning green spaces, home to six ancient aqueducts that have stood for over 2,000 years. At dawn, golden sunlight filters through the towering arches, casting long shadows over the landscape. As you jog, Isabella will bring the park’s history to life, sharing hidden stories and fascinating details about this open-air museum. You’ll trace the footsteps of Grand Tour artists like Goethe and Corot, who found inspiration here, and discover how its timeless beauty shaped masterpieces like La Dolce Vita and The Great Beauty. This scenic run is suitable for all fitness levels, with a comfortable pace and plenty of stops to take in the views, capture photos, and experience the serenity of Rome’s enchanting natural setting.

What makes this unique?

Running through Aqueduct Park is a wonderful way to explore Rome’s history while staying fit. Towering arches tell the story of an empire sustained by engineering ingenuity, rising against the morning sky in a setting unlike any other running route. Whether on vacation or a business trip, this is a unique way to stay active while exploring. Instead of a routine workout, you’ll jog through an open-air museum, passing the engineering marvels of Aqua Claudia and Aqua Marcia, with their colossal arches stretching across the landscape. The golden light at dawn reveals a quieter, lesser-known side of Rome, far from the city’s bustling streets. Your guide, Isabella, is both a historian and a running coach, sharing forgotten stories and artistic legacies, from Goethe’s Grand Tour sketches to Fellini’s cinematic masterpieces. This run offers a rare glimpse of Rome as it once was, where nature and antiquity meet in breathtaking harmony.
