What is this?

Discover the vibrant vegan side of Athens on a walk that blends local flavors, creativity, and culture. With a mix of humor and curiosity, your host guides you through a handpicked selection of plant-based gems—from cozy spots known only to locals to standout dishes that reimagine Greek tradition through a vegan lens. Over the course of four stops, you’ll taste some of the city’s most beloved vegan creations. Expect bold flavors, seasonal ingredients, and inventive twists rooted in classic Mediterranean cuisine. Come hungry: each place has been chosen not just for the food, but for the stories and atmosphere it offers. This experience is for anyone who sees food as a way to connect—with places, people, and ideas. Depending on the day, you might stumble into a picnic, a street gathering, or an impromptu meetup with Athens’ local vegan community. The city’s energy always brings something unexpected—and unforgettable.

What makes this unique?

What sets this experience apart is the personal insight Frank and his co-host Tasos bring to Athens’ evolving vegan scene. After years exploring the city’s plant-based offerings, they’ve curated a thoughtful route through beloved local spots and lesser-known gems. Their selections highlight both authenticity and innovation—each stop chosen for its flavor, story, and sense of place. Frank and Tasos offer more than recommendations. They share the origins behind the dishes, introduce you to the people behind the counters, and reveal how Greek tradition is being reimagined through a vegan lens. It’s a walk through culture, memory, and local pride—with plant-based cuisine as your guide. This isn’t just about what you taste. It’s about the spontaneity of street gatherings, the rhythm of Athenian neighborhoods, and the joy of being welcomed in like a local.
