What is this?
Discover the essence of the Aconcagua Valley in Chile on this unique wine and cultural tour, which includes visits to two wineries and an alpaca farm. This full-day trip includes transportation to and from Los Andes, two wine tastings, and lunch.
The experience begins at Viña El Encanto, where you’ll explore the vineyards and enjoy a tasting of seven wines. You’ll also visit an archaeological site and its museum, connecting with the ancestral history of the Aconcagua Valley. After lunch in Putaendo, you’ll immerse yourself in local tradition with a visit to an alpaca farm, learning about wool harvesting and weaving.
At Viña In Situ, you’ll explore underground cellars and uncover the secrets of modern wine production. There, you’ll enjoy a second tasting of three exclusive wines in an environment that blends history, terroir, and a passion for winemaking.
This experience is perfect for wine and nature lovers in the heart of the Andes.
What makes this unique?
This immersive experience goes beyond vineyard visits to reveal the cultural depth of Chile’s Aconcagua Valley. It offers a rare opportunity to connect wine tasting with archaeological heritage, local craftsmanship, and the people who carry these traditions forward.
At Viña El Encanto, the archaeological site adds historical context. The visit to Viña In Situ reveals how underground cellars and modern techniques coexist with regional wine heritage, offering insight into the valley’s evolving identity as a wine-producing region.
Ultimately, what sets this tour apart is the meaningful interaction with local artisans at the alpaca farm. You’ll engage directly with the farmers and weavers who preserve traditional Andean wool-working techniques—an intimate look into a living practice rarely seen by travelers. Zachary’s presence throughout provides depth and cohesion, as he weaves together the threads of wine, landscape, and Andean cultural history into one seamless story.
