What is this?

This 2-hour walking tour explores the street art of Palermo Soho. The trendiest neighborhood in Buenos Aires, Palermo Soho is a both haven for street art and creativity and the epicenter of modern design. Walking around these cobblestone passages and dipping into independent boutiques and cafes is all part of a stay in the Argentine capital, which means that a rendezvous with these painted walls is a sure thing. Seeing them at Grace’s side lays bare the hidden stories of the murals and shares the stories of those who painted them—explaining the messages, motifs, and intentions of each installation. Grace also highlights the architectural identity of Palermo Soho and discusses the immigrants who were responsible for building much of the city and, without whom, these canvases and walls would not exist. The tour includes a relaxed stop for refreshments during which Grace will answer your questions and discuss how this art form has spread, sharing visuals to illustrate this dialogue.

What makes this unique?

This tour is unique as it examines the street art of Palermo Soho as a manifestation of the city's culture. Born and raised in Buenos Aires, Grace has spent over 15 years living and working overseas, giving her vast experience with multicultural groups. The combination of her two professions (Graphic Design and Tourism) led to her to specialize in street art, exploring its development and its relevance as an artistic and social manifestation in the modern-day world. Grace is well-connected to street artists, giving her a thorough comprehension of their techniques, motivations and stories. She divulges how street art can be a tool for raising awareness about crucial topics. Her experience is an open dialogue, and she invites her guests—you—to engage in a conversation about street art or other Argentine traditions that may have left an impression on you. You are welcome to share any anecdotes about the art of your own city with Grace as she loves learning about different cultures.
