You will learn about the development of Argentine art and stroll through the beautiful neighborhoods in Buenos Aires, visiting a curated selection of five museums and commercial galleries. Buenos Aires has one of the most dynamic art scenes in Latin America, with thriving creative hubs that blend historic influence and contemporary experimentation. These spaces showcase local and regional artists as well as relevant global names. Your charismatic, highly-connected curator guide will share insights into past artistic traditions and the diversity of current programs and proposals.

What makes this unique?

This experience welcomes you into the fold of the South American art scene. Jonathan is incredibly well-connected and will explain how art, literature, politics, and social reality are connected in Argentina. You will visit the Museum of Fine Arts (MNBA) and the Museum of Latin American Art (MALBA). You will also explore independent galleries in Recoleta, Palermo, and/or Villa Crespo. Many independent galleries in Buenos Aires emerged during economic crises, fostering a uniquely resilient and community-driven art scene. Jonathan tailors the visits to your interests, adjusting the itinerary if needed to create a personal, meaningful and engaging experience. There will also be a coffee stop between visits to relax and reflect on the artists seen. This is an excellent opportunity to exchange views with Jonathan. Learning from a seasoned professional with contacts in most museums and galleries in the city adds value to the experience, as it ensures updated knowledge and exclusive access.
