What is this?

This special experience takes you off the beaten path into the world of a truly local family in Lunlunta, Mendoza. For over 30 years, Juan Marcos Juricich — a softly spoken agronomist and beekeeper — has lived and worked on this small finca with his children, who now help him run the place. Upon arrival, you'll explore the estate with Federico, the youngest son and a winemaker who produces organic wine from grapes lovingly grown on the family plot. You'll sample his latest blends fresh from the tanks and, if you like what you taste, you can even bottle your own wine to take home. Through Federico, you will learn about Juan's storied beekeeping and organic honey production methods. There is a chance to try the honey and, depending on the season, hold the hives. To wrap up the experience, Federico will fire up the parrilla for a home-cooked asado, served under the trees with laughter, stories, and wine. This is not a show. It’s a slice of Mendoza life — shared the way it’s always been.

What makes this unique?

This experience brings you into a real working farm and the home of a family who live off the land, producing wine and honey. You’ll get up close with the bees, understand their significance to the local ecosystem, and learn how Juan, an agricultural engineer and respected apiculturalist, specializes in queen bee breeding and sustainable apiculture. This is a sensory experience where you will touch the earth where the grapes grow, taste wine straight from the tanks, dip your fingers in organic honey, and get a feeling for agricultural life in Argentina's Wine Country. By spending time with the Juricich family, you are connecting with people who don’t follow recipes—they follow instincts, seasons, and passion. There are no guides in uniforms and no tired tourist rehearsals. Julieta will be on hand to translate and guide the experience, but the real hosts are the Juricichs. They open their home and hearts to share what they do, how they live, and why it matters.

What is the profile of the host?

Born and raised in Mendoza, Julieta offers an insider’s perspective on the local region through engaging conversations and unique experiences. After spending years guiding throughout Argentina and Chile, she has returned to her home city with a vision to show a different side to Mendoza. Julieta's experiences mix a keen knowledge of culture, crafts, history, and wine with spontaneity and humor. This experience is co-hosted with the Juricich family — Juan Marcos and his two children, including Federico, the winemaker and asador. Julieta serves as your bridge throughout the day, translating for the Juricichs and weaving your experience so you feel like part of the family.

What to bring?

A healthy appetite. A jacket or extra layer; Mendoza's weather is full of surprises. Sunglasses and sunscreen.
