Simone, a graduate in Natural Sciences with a specialization in Environmental and Land Management, has been a trekking guide in Sardinia since 2013. He has gained diverse experience across several European countries, including France, where he conducted scientific research at the CNRS (National Centre for Scientific Research) in Montpellier. Since then, he has pursued his dream of guiding travelers from around the world to discover his island while promoting sustainable, off-the-beaten-path tourism.

Melina, a native speaker of German and Spanish and a passionate polyglot, holds a degree in Translation and Interpretation as well as a Master's in Language Teaching. She has traveled and lived in various parts of the world, including Spain, Australia, Germany, and Portugal, but the irresistible charm of Sardinia captivated her, leading her to settle on this Mediterranean island in 2015. She is a certified Mountain Guide (AIGAE) and an official Tourist Guide for the Region of Sardinia.

Chile

This 3-hour private experience is divided into a visit to the Chilean Museum of Pre-Columbian Art and a relaxed weaving workshop with Flor—a passionate textile artist and entrepreneur from Santiago. Over coffee and cake in a beautiful setting, Flor will introduce you to the art of pin loom weaving: a portable and creative method of weaving using a small frame with pins or nails. After this, you will visit the museum and tour the collection of over 1,000 pieces of Indigenous art, focusing on textiles. 

During the mini workshop, Flor will share simple techniques to start your own woven design—something you can continue during your travels. This also serves as a moment for Flor to provide an overview of Chilean textile design from past until present. As a precursor for the museum, she’ll share stories about the cultural significance of weaving in Chile and explain how traditional techniques continue to inspire contemporary makers. The price includes a mini weaving kit and refreshments.

Florencia Campos Correa, or Flor, is a Chilean-Spanish textile designer and author based in Santiago. Her business, Ullvuna, is dedicated to portable pin loom weaving kits which are available globally. Much of Flor's inspiration comes from her passion and appreciation for Chilean culture and people. She deeply admires the landscapes and nature as well as the ancient fables she absorbed as a child while traveling every corner of Chile by caravan with her family.

Flor has authored several books packed with vibrant pattern inspiration and projects. Her nature motifs are translated into floral crochet designs published in a British magazine and she has penned a children's story which inspires creativity and entrepreneurship in the youngest of budding designers. 

Co-hosted by a local couple with a combined 20 years of experience in astro-tourism, this astronomy experience takes place beneath some of the clearest night skies in the world in a boutique observatory installed at a private residence on the outskirts of San Pedro de Atacama. Comfort is of utmost priority: you will first be seated in a cozy lounge where Juan Pablo will devote 30 minutes to the fundamentals of astronomy. After warming up over hot beverages and local liqueur, you will be ushered outside to the telescope area and invited to survey the night sky for celestial objects with Valeria.

This observatory contains two state-of-the-art Dobsonian Telescopes (16' and 12'), which enable you to see planets, star clusters, nebulae, and galaxies. Valeria will demonstrate how to use the telescopes and point out a variety of celestial objects over the course of the session—note that items spotted is dependent on the conditions/season. Hammock chairs are provided for maximum comfort!

This is an intuitive and highly personalized stargazing experience hosted by a bilingual local couple. Valeria and Juan Pablo wouldn't dream of relying on a script. Besides being experts in regional astronomy and ecosystems, your hosts know to read the room; they will tune in with your level of knowledge and adapt the activity accordingly. For budding skywatchers who have never seen a telescope, this is your opportunity to pose those lingering questions you may feel shy to ask in a large, shared tour. Seasoned stargazers can improve their understanding and sharpen their technical ability in a private observatory setting.

There is no photoshoot in this experience. Rather than spending time posing for photos, Valeria and Juan Pablo dedicate the entire session to sharing knowledge, wisdom, and passion for the night sky. Their commentary leans towards modern cosmology and scientific discovery. Winter sessions include more discussion of the Andean worldview and Indigenous practices.

This experience is co-hosted by Valeria Heindl and Juan Pablo Rivas. Valeria is a passionate naturalist and conservationist who has resided in San Pedro de Atacama for over a decade. While operating her tour business, she has fostered deep roots in the community. Her expertise lies in the region's natural history, from its intricate geology and flora to wildlife (in particular, its avifauna), to its astronomy. She worked as a senior astronomy guide at the largest privately-owned observatory in San Pedro for five years before developing this astronomy venture with her husband, who has worked as an astronomy guide for over 15 years.  Juan Pablo now runs his own adventure tourism company in town.

This experience is part of a quiet cultural revival. For centuries, hikayat (oral storytelling) shaped Morocco’s cultural identity. In homes and public squares, storytellers passed down epic tales and moral parables through memory and voice. But as modern life pushed hikayat to the margins, the tradition risked fading out. Today, a new generation of Moroccan storytellers is reimagining the form—bringing it into museums and riads, where the focus returns to quiet, attentive listening. 

Set in a heritage space in the heart of Fes medina, the session is accompanied by live music and mint tea, just as it might have been in an elder’s home generations ago. It's not a staged show, but a reawakening of a tradition nearly lost to noise, technology and modernity. Carnevale in Mamoiada (February 15 and 17, 2026) immerses you in the rich culture of Sardinia’s festivities. The decorated streets of this ancient village come alive with haunting rhythms of cowbells, hypnotic movements of dancers, and tradition preserved through centuries: it’s a celebration of history, mythology and community.

THIS EXPERIENCE IS LIMITED TO FOUR PARTICIPANTS ON 15 and 17 FEBRUARY, 2026.

You will watch the Mamuthones, cloaked in black sheepskins with grotesque wooden masks, moving in slow, ritualistic dances. Meanwhile, the Issohadores, with vibrant red shirts and white masks, wield lassos to capture the dancers (and spectators!).

Your day includes exploring the local museum to uncover the origins and craftsmanship of these iconic masks, savoring a Sardinian lunch featuring local delicacies, and and gaining exclusive access to the courtyard where Carnevale characters don their costumes and cowbells before joining the parade.

Japan

Master calligrapher Eri Koyama takes you on a journey toward peace and contentment with a simple brush and ink. This private experience begins in a peaceful Kyoto temple where she explains the cultural significance of shodo, Japanese calligraphy, and how it has been used as both a form of art and meditation over the centuries. Rooted in Zen philosophy, shodo invites stillness, focus, and a deep connection between mind and body.

Next, Eri explains the tools used in Japanese calligraphy, and you'll learn to make your own ink from an inkstone. After introducing the different writing styles, she’ll guide you in practicing the foundational strokes used in each.

After a short tea break, you'll choose a favorite Japanese character or word — something meaningful to you — which you'll practice, refining your technique under Eri’s expert instruction. At the end of the workshop, you’ll produce a finished work on handmade paper, a keepsake to display and reflect on long after your return home.

This deep dive into the art of Japanese calligraphy is more than an art workshop; it is an opportunity to understand the strong bond between this ancient practice and many other aspects of Japanese culture. You’ll discover how shodo can be used as a form of meditation, creating an oasis of calm in an otherwise chaotic day — and how each brushstroke reflects not only the artist’s hand, but their inner state.

With over 30 years of practice and a calligraphy master’s license, Eri is more than qualified to instruct students in the art of shodo. Yet she approaches each session with humility and care, always open to learning and honoring the philosophy behind the form. Her warmth and attentiveness make the session both focused and welcoming, even for complete beginners.

At the conclusion of the experience, Eri shares guidance on where to find quality brushes, ink, and paper — so you can carry this peaceful practice into your everyday life.

Eri Koyama has practiced Japanese calligraphy (shodō) for over 30 years, studying under renowned calligrapher Shōshū from the age of six. Although she holds a master’s license in the art, Eri approaches each brushstroke with a student’s humility — continuously exploring shodō’s expressive and meditative dimensions. 

In her workshops, Eri welcomes beginners and enthusiasts alike. She shares not only the techniques of shodō — brush, ink, form — but its capacity to cultivate mindfulness and creative presence. Each session becomes a moment to connect hand, heart, and heritage — a quiet, profound journey into the art of writing.

Tokyo is a city of sharp contrasts — and this tour is designed to showcase Tokyo's rhythm, from forest shrine in mid-afternoon to Shibuya at night. 

You begin at a Shinto shrine in the middle of the city, surrounded by towering trees. Your guide shares the customs of shrine visits and helps you collect a Goshuin, handwritten seal pressed into paper. Beyond the torii gates, the energy changes fast. Takeshita Street hums with teenage fashion, storefronts stacked with color and sound. In Omotesando, concrete and glass architecture reflects a city reshaping itself.

From there, a short ride takes you to Zojoji Temple, where the Tokugawa family once worshipped. The temple’s wooden gate dates to 1622. Behind it, Tokyo Tower rises in red steel- a contrast of centuries in a single frame.

Dinner is in Shibuya. You cross the scramble under flickering screens and end in a back alley of tiny bars and paper lanterns, where Tokyo narrows and lets you glimpse a past behind its brightest lights.

This tour moves through different neighborhoods at the pace Tokyo moves — fast, fluid, full of contrast. One moment, you’re beneath cypress trees in a Shinto shrine. The next, shoulder to shoulder with teenagers in full cosplay. Temple gates give way to steel towers. Wide boulevards narrow into neon-lit alleys with bars you wouldn’t find unless someone led you there.

The route is curated to play out as a sequence of scenes — it has many of Tokyo’s landmarks, but it’s more of a guided story about how the city is lived today. Your guide, equal parts historian, local resident and storyteller, leads you through scenes of modern Tokyo: ritual, fashion, architecture, nightlife. Meiji Shrine reflects a return to tradition after upheaval. Harajuku pulses with postwar energy that reshaped youth culture. Zojoji Temple and Tokyo Tower stand side by side — a 17th-century wooden gate and a 20th-century broadcast spire. They belong together, even in contrast.

Your tour begins beneath towering cypress trees in Meiji Jingu, established in 1920 to honor Emperor Meiji and Empress Shōken — a shrine built from trees donated from across all of Japan. Through moss-coated paths and forests so deep you forget Tokyo lives beyond the torii, your guide explains the meaning behind purification rituals, torii gates, and the Goshuin seal — a small piece of devotion signed in ink. The sound here is soft: gravel underfoot, prayer beads, birds. Then you step back toward the city’s pulse.

Meiji Jingu stands at an intersection of old and new: built to honor one of Japan’s most modernizing emperors, yet made from materials rooted in tradition. Its forest was destroyed in wartime air raids and reconstructed — which means every tree and structure here carries history, intention, loss, and renewal. 

This place sets the tone for the tour: how old and new co-exist in Tokyo. Your guide brings context, not just facts, and helps you connect this serene moment to the contrasts to come. 

You’ll also collect a Goshuin, a traditional handwritten seal, to mark your visit and a book to collect stamps at each temple throughout your Japan visit.

Beneath the Torii

Just beyond Meiji Shrine’s torii gates, the tone shifts. Takeshita Street hums with postwar youth culture — street fashion, subcultures, candy shops, cosplay. 

A short walk leads to Omotesando, a tree-lined avenue where modernist architecture meets high-end retail. This stretch offers a front-row view into how Tokyo reinvents its identity in public space.

Few cities place tradition and rebellion so close together. Harajuku became a symbol of creative resistance in postwar Japan, while Omotesando reveals a desire for global design fluency. Your guide decodes what these neighborhoods say about Tokyo’s generational shifts — you'll see why this is more than just about aesthetics.

Street Pulse, Design Pause

After Tokyo Tower, your guide takes you to an early dinner nearby — a spot known for quality, character, and efficiency. It might be a refined izakaya, a quiet soba or sushi counter, or a teishoku-style set meal — the kind of place locals know. It’s a quick sit-down meal, paced to match the evening ahead.

This dinner is about the tempo as much as it is about the food. You’re between neighborhoods, between energies. The next part of Tokyo is louder, sharper, more electric. Your guide helps you sense that rhythm shift as day slips into dusk.

Dusk Between Eras

After a short taxi drive, you arrive at Zojoji Temple, the Tokugawa shogunate’s family temple. This place has tremendous gravitas. The Sangedatsumon Gate (1622) remains bronze-fastened wood, offering shade and shadow. Beyond it rises Tokyo Tower, completed in 1958, its broadcast lights glowing like embers in steel. Within Zojoji’s grounds are mausoleums of Tokugawa shoguns and quiet memorials. You will visit a gallery showcasing a remarkable collection of painted scrolls.

Zojoji and Tokyo Tower form one of Tokyo’s sharpest visual contrasts: wooden gate, dates from early Edo; steel tower, built in postwar optimism. Your guide explains why Zojoji remains important to Tokyo’s spiritual life and how Tokyo Tower, built in 1958, became a national symbol of progress and optimism. Together, they speak to how Tokyo remembers and reinvents - its roots and wings.

Two Towers, Two Eras

After a brief taxi ride, your final act begins at the Hachiko statue and continues across Shibuya’s iconic scramble crossing. If time permits, you can ask your guide to take you up a shopping mall to see the scramble from above. 

From there, slip into Nonbei Yokocho, a narrow alley of tiny Showa-era bars lit by lanterns. This is where Tokyo winds down without slowing down.

Nonbei Yokocho means "Drunkard’s Alley," but its charm isn’t in the alcohol — it’s in the intimacy. These bars hold decades of history in ten square meters. With your guide, you learn the etiquette, the backstories, and the names behind the signs. 

Your guide will leave you at 8 PM - and you can enjoy this street and Tokyo's nightlife a bit more on your own.
