This is a full-day guided trek through the High Atlas Mountains, starting and ending in the village of Imlil. Your journey begins with a gradual climb through Tamatert, a quiet mountain village with stone homes and terraced fields, before reaching the Tidli Plateau at 2,350 meters. This wide-open ridge offers stunning 360° views of the surrounding peaks and valleys, often with no one else in sight. The trail then continues to the Isk Summit at 2,500 meters, offering even more expansive vistas, including sights of Mount Toubkal. 

Afterward, the path continues downhill past terraced farmland and the peaceful Amadin Waterfall—an ideal spot to rest your legs and soak in the mountain air. You’ll then pass through the sleepy village of Achain before returning to Imlil by late afternoon. The trek takes around 5–6 hours at a moderate pace and is ideal for reasonably fit hikers looking for a quiet, off-the-beaten-path route filled with natural beauty and mountain hospitality.

Hiking to the rarely visited Tidli Plateau, a panoramic ridge with sweeping views of Mount Toubkal—a ridge offering panoramic views seldom seen by visitors, makes this special. Unlike the busier trails leading to the Toubkal summit, this path is peaceful and lesser-known—ideal for travelers who want to experience the rhythm of the mountains without the crowds.

Pronounced mah-tay, it’s rare to see a Porteño without this caffeinated herbal drink of yerba mate leaves in hand. For Tiago, connecting with a culture means full immersion. “You have to experience it with open eyes, heart, and mind,” he says. That means talking to locals, walking unfamiliar routes, listening more than looking. “Lisbon isn’t just to be seen, but touched, smelled, and tasted.” It’s not a checklist—it’s a presence.
He also names two challenges: First, Lisbon’s historic neighborhoods are deeply distinct—each like its own mini-city. “Lisbon is multidimensional. It cannot—and should not—be rushed.” Second, mass tourism threatens the local character he cherishes. Responsible travel, he says, is essential to preserve the culture.

Visiting Western Australia's Nambung National Park and the Pinnacles Desert is a must.

Located at the southern gateway to Australia's Coral Coast, along the Indian Ocean Drive, the Pinnacles Desert of Nambung National Park is one of the major natural attractions in the region and are Western Australia's most visited attractions.

The park is located roughly 200km, or 2 hours' drive north of Perth, and covers an area of 17,487 hectares providing natural habitat for an extensive array of native animals and bird life.

The Pinnacles are amazing natural limestone structures, formed approximately 25,000 to 30,000 years ago after the sea receded and left deposits of sea shells. Over time, coastal winds removed the surrounding sand, leaving the pillars exposed to the elements. The Pinnacles range in height and dimension - some stand as high as 3.5m!

The Ca' d'Oro, a jewel on Venice's Grand Canal, is renowned for its lacy Gothic facade. Eclairs, ratatouille, fromage – mhmm, so yummy – paired with a glass of wine and pleasant company, a French cooking class is a trip for all the senses (and fun, too). We opted for a private cooking class in Paris with Léo, a chef who has cooked in several top restaurants throughout his life. 

The first dish we learned how to cook was a French cheese plate and handmade bread accompanied by filled vine leaves. After that, we learned about French cuisine, the main ingredients, preparation methods, history, and drank some more wine. We learned what ingredients make the French kitchen unique (wine, vinegar, and cheese) and made a delicious ratatouille, one of France's most popular vegetable dishes. 

We read you can also do these courses online, but you have to get the ingredients and tools beforehand. A good option for digital visitors!
