For over 40 years, Francesco has transformed threads of gold and silver into intricate jewelry, working entirely by hand with tools and techniques passed down through generations.

You'll learn how Sardinian filigree is created—from raw materials to the delicate process that gives each piece its unique character. In his studio, Francesco introduces the region’s iconic forms: traditional wedding rings, ornate buttons worn on bridal gowns, and pendants that tell stories of Sardinia’s past. He also shares his family’s history, showing old photographs taken in the same space where his workshop now stands.

Francesco Serra is a master goldsmith and filigree artist. A graduate of the Istituto Statale d’Arte of Nuoro, he began his career as an apprentice before opening his own workshop, Esseffe, in 1983. For over four decades, Francesco has been creating intricate jewelry by hand, blending traditional Sardinian designs with his own contemporary vision. His work reflects a deep respect for heritage, technique, and the quiet beauty of craftsmanship passed down through generations.

Peru

Milagro Campos Llontop, Mila, is a Lima-based cultural guide, artist, and educator with over ten years of experience in heritage interpretation and socially responsible tourism. She studied Drawing and Painting at the National School of Fine Arts of Lima and holds a specialization in Sustainable Tourism.

She has worked at several museums and archaeological sites across Lima as a local guide and educational program designer and is one of the few official tour guides in the city specializing in Indigenous Folk Art. In 2022, Mila founded an Indigenous art experience project in collaboration with master women artisans from the Shipibo-Konibo Amazonian community based in Lima. Working directly with the president of the community, the project supports cultural revitalization and generates direct economic income for more than 200 master women artisans.

Philippe Mevel is a Paris-based antiques specialist and art dealer who leads private visits through the Saint-Ouen flea markets, antique boutiques, and art galleries. He trained in Switzerland and France before moving to the United States in 1999.

From 2000 to 2006 he worked with Gasiunasen Fine Arts in Palm Beach, collaborating with prominent collectors. Since 2007 he has worked independently as an art advisor and dealer, with acquisitions that have included works by Picasso and Chagall.

Philippe’s core expertise is seventeenth- and eighteenth-century French furniture, complemented by broad knowledge of modern and contemporary art and design. His clients range from corporate teams and museums to architects, interior designers, dealers, and first-time buyers.

This experience invites you to read Herculaneum as a city caught mid-life by the AD 79 eruption of Vesuvius. You follow basalt streets, pause at corner fountains, and look into shops where stone counters still hold recessed jars. Wood endured here as charcoal—doors, beams, even furniture outlines—so kitchens, stairways, and upper floors remain readable. Worn thresholds and bakeries with mills and ovens make daily habits visible, while pyroclastic surges and mud sealed what they touched.

You'll trace the ancient shoreline, now inland, including the vaulted boat sheds (known as the fornici), the site’s starkest memory, the place where people sought refuge in a last desperate attempt to escape. Nearby, the Baths show pools, mosaics, changing rooms, and underfloor heating. You'll also discover the House of Neptune and Amphitrite with its mosaic, the College of the Augustales with painted panels, and the House of the Wooden Partition with its sliding screen.

This experience is a private tour of Galería Artkinson, one of Valparaíso's most intriguing independent galleries focused on urban art and contemporary expression. Named for its proximity to the beloved Paseo Artkinson walkway, the gallery is co-managed by a quintet of local artists each with their own specialty across painting, engraving, sculpture, and jewelry craft. Each artist has a different style which makes for one of the most eclectic experiences in Chile's Capital of Culture.

This private viewing experience is hosted by one of the five artists. It consists of an in-depth description of the original works showcased in the gallery and the studio, where you'll learn about the different materials, symbols, and ideas behind each piece. You will also learn how the work of the Galería Artkinson collective fits in with the wider identity of Valparaíso's urban art landscape. This private viewing of Galeria Artkinson is hosted by one of the five resident artists who collaborate in the studio. Moro "Newenki" Pichilaf specializes in wood engraving, stencil art, and painting alongside mural art with fellow graffiti artists Don Peluca and Cuellimangui. Fernanda González works with plasticine installations whereas Klaus Tordo is a master at metal engraving and the botanical practice of Kokedama.

The host of the experience depends on the date booked. In most cases, you will meet at least one further resident artist during the visit besides the host artist.

This half-day experience with women from the Shipibo-Konibo community of the Peruvian Amazon takes place minutes from the historic center of Lima, in the district of Rímac. After a short drive, you step into a living Amazonian culture in an urban setting, spending time chatting with artisan women over a basket of jungle fruits and taking part in an art workshop.

Over the past 25 years, people from the Shipibo-Konibo ethnic group have migrated from the jungle in search of economic opportunities while preserving their traditions, art, and language. Your experience begins with a warm welcome from a local artisan in her home, who introduces you to the meanings behind her intricate designs. These sacred patterns, known as “kené,” are inspired by nature and the life of the Shipibo-Konibo people in the Amazon. You then take part in a hands-on art workshop, learning to paint using natural pigments traditionally made from tree bark and plants.

You might not know that it is possible to encounter the Indigenous cultures of Amazonian Peru in the capital. Migration from Ucayali and other Amazon regions has been ongoing for decades. 

This experience offers a rare opportunity to meet members of the Shipibo-Konibo community in the intimate setting of a practicing artisan’s home. Rather than observing from a distance, you are welcomed as a guest and invited to learn directly from the artist whose hands continue a tradition passed down through generations. Milagro Campos Llontop, Mila, is a Lima-based cultural guide, artist, and educator with over ten years of experience in heritage interpretation and socially responsible tourism. She studied Drawing and Painting at the National School of Fine Arts of Lima and holds a specialization in Sustainable Tourism.

She has worked at several museums and archaeological sites across Lima as a local guide and educational program designer and is one of the few official tour guides in the city specializing in Indigenous Folk Art. In 2022, Mila founded an art experience project in collaboration with master women artisans from the Shipibo-Konibo Amazonian community based in Lima. Working directly with the president of the community, the project supports cultural revitalization and generates direct economic income for more than 200 master women artisans.

DAY 3 – SCENT AND FLAVOR | Your final day explores the sensory traditions that define Kyoto’s refinement. When asked about his love for Lisbon, Tiago’s enthusiasm is immediate: “I love my city! I really love the historic center of Lisbon!” Though he didn’t always feel that way. Growing up on the city’s outskirts, it wasn’t until returning after time abroad that he saw it anew. “It was as a young and independent adult with an arts and architecture degree, and with the enthusiasm to explore — that I realized how beautiful, diverse, and interesting my city is.”
For Tiago, connecting with a culture means full immersion. “You have to experience it with open eyes, heart, and mind,” he says. That means talking to locals, walking unfamiliar routes, listening more than looking. “Lisbon isn’t just to be seen, but touched, smelled, and tasted.” It’s not a checklist—it’s a presence.
He also names two challenges: First, Lisbon’s historic neighborhoods are deeply distinct—each like its own mini-city. “Lisbon is multidimensional. It cannot—and should not—be rushed.” Second, mass tourism threatens the local character he cherishes. Responsible travel, he says, is essential to preserve the culture.
As tourism evolves, Tiago points toward Lisbon’s under-known strengths. “Gastronomy, street art, tiles, contemporary architecture… there’s so much more to discover!”

Nejjarine Museum of Fes

Pinacoteca di Brera is one of Milan's most prestigious art galleries, housing a significant collection of Italian and foreign art from the 13th to the 20th century. The Brera Gallery was officially established in 1809, although its first collection existed from 1776 alongside the Accademia di Belle Arti, instituted by Maria Theresa of Austria. 

Notable Masterpieces: The Pinacoteca di Brera's collection includes several world-renowned masterpieces. Some of the top paintings housed in the gallery are "The Marriage of the Virgin" by Raphael, "The Feast in the House of Simon" by Paolo Veronese, "Supper at Emmaus" by Caravaggio, "Last Supper" by Peter Paul Rubens, and "The Kiss" by Francesco Hayez. Balos Lagoona

Chile’s Puritama Hot Springs are a hidden oasis in the Atacama Desert, offering a series of geothermal pools surrounded by lush vegetation in an otherwise arid landscape. A walk along the oceanfront to the Castle of San Sebastián in Cádiz is a captivating experience that combines stunning coastal views, rich history, and the serene beauty of the Atlantic Ocean.
