Nestled in the heart of Santorini’s charming Megalochori village, this immersive experience takes place in a restored 1950s cave house—dug into volcanic rock and full of character. Hosts Paula and George welcome you into their “stone kitchen” to roll up your sleeves and take part in a hands-on preparation of a classic Greek feast, side by side with your hosts.

Guided by Paula and George, you’ll chop, roll, stir, and season while learning the stories behind time-honored recipes, from tzatziki to tomato fritters to melt-in-your-mouth main dishes. The menu changes with the seasons, and so does the energy—it’s part cooking lesson, part gathering.

George, a skilled chef, brings his expertise to the kitchen, while Paula ensures every detail is perfect, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. Chile

This full-day photographic excursion whisks you away to salty lagoons and a traditional Atacameño town as yet untouched by tourism. Besides learning landscape photography tips and tricks under the eye of a professional photographer, you will float in a saline lake and learn the geological importance of the region's ecosystem.

The day starts at Cejar Lagoon where the high salinity carries you across the surface of the lake without needing to stroke or kick. Swimming is optional yet highly recommended. After drying off, you will visit the Tebenquinche Lagoon to study the salt deposits from the lakeside. There is a relaxed lunch interlude in the town of Toconao where you will tour its main square and side streets. The afternoon concludes at the Atacama Salt Flat in the Chaxa Lagoon where flamingos wade in the shallows for shrimp. Throughout the day, photography remains the priority. 

This is an immersive exploration of the flora and fauna of the Salar de Atacama focusing on photography. Mirko—schooled in the geology and geography of the region—will impart knowledge sharpened by years of living in San Pedro de Atacama. He will explain the fragility of the ecosystems and provide insight into why the Indigenous Licanantay people consider the lagoons and volcanoes sacred. As a professional photographer, he will train your eye to capture the smallest of details and mentor you through the stages of capturing landscapes and close-ups.

The experience also includes the option to swim in Cejar Lagoon; a thrilling experience which fosters a deeper connection with the environment and supports with acclimatizing to this parched landscape. Concluding in the Chaxa Lagoon, you are likely to encounter all three species of resident flamingo: Chilean, Andean, and James's. The pace is unhurried as you study their movements and capture their pink hues against the turquoise lagoon.

Ouzoud Waterfalls

The Torre del Oro (Tower of Gold) is one of Seville’s most iconic landmarks, situated along the banks of the Guadalquivir River. This 13th-century dodecagonal tower was originally built by the Almohads as a military watchtower and was later used to control access to the river. Its name, “Tower of Gold,” is believed to stem from the golden gleam it once reflected off the river or possibly from the gold brought from the New World that was stored in its vaults. Today, the Torre del Oro is a maritime museum, offering visitors a glimpse into Seville's rich naval history.
 Highlights of Torre del Oro:

1. Panoramic Views: Climb to the top of the tower for stunning 360-degree views of Seville’s skyline, including landmarks like the Giralda and the cathedral. The vantage point also offers a unique perspective of the Guadalquivir River.

Torre del Oro

The Rua Augusta Arch, an iconic triumphal arch in Lisbon, Portugal, stands as a symbol of the city's rebirth after the 1755 earthquake. Located at the northern end of the Praça do Comércio, this arch not only marks the entrance to the Rua Augusta but also provides a gateway to understanding Lisbon's rich history and culture. Famous for having the widest Gothic nave in the world, the cathedral offers stunning views of the city from its grand staircase and was featured in Game of Thrones as the Great Sept of Baelor.

Once the capital of the Roman province of Hispania Tarraconensis, the city’s rich history blends seamlessly with modern life. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, Tarragona offers ancient amphitheaters, medieval alleyways, and lively plazas, making it a must-visit destination for history lovers and photographers.


1. Tarragona Amphitheatre: Overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, this 2nd-century Roman amphitheater once hosted gladiatorial games and now serves as an iconic symbol of the city’s Roman heritage.

El Rastro, located in the historic center of Madrid, is a flea market and lively hub of culture, antiques, and curiosities that comes alive every Sunday and public holiday. With its roots stretching back over 400 years, this open-air market in the La Latina neighborhood offers a fascinating blend of everyday objects and unique finds, making it a must-visit destination even if you don’t want to buy anything. Top reasons to visit include the bustling atmosphere, the eclectic mix of goods - high and low-priced, and the opportunity to dive into Madrid's vibrant local culture.
1. Start Your Journey at Plaza del Cascorro to immerse yourself in the heart of El Rastro. Here, you’ll find a dynamic mix of stalls selling everything from vintage clothing to funky accessories, setting the perfect tone for your adventure.
2. Diverse Finds on Calle Ribera de Curtidores: This steep hill lined with hundreds of stalls offers an array of products. From kitchen utensils to comic books, clothes, jewelry, art, and furnishings, the variety is endless, ensuring there’s something for every shopper.

El Rastro: Vibrant Marketplace

In Santorini, we discover and fall in love with Vinsanto, the local dessert wine. So we drive up to Hatzidakis - a charming and intimate local winery - to check out the local grapes. The vines grow low to the ground and close to the road and we almost drive into them while looking for parking. 

The grapes are grown in an unusual way, not in arbors but low to the ground, in baskets made of vine stalks themselves. They are organic and are watered mostly by dew as the island has low water supply.

The tasting room is cave-like and we take home several bottkes of the small batch Vinsanto they produce.

Buenos Aires, Argentina, is home to Café Tortoni, the oldest and most famous café in the city, dating back to 1858. Steeped in history and belle époque charm, this legendary café has welcomed writers, artists, and political figures, including Jorge Luis Borges and Carlos Gardel. Originally built as Emperor Hadrian’s mausoleum in 123 AD, it has transformed through the ages, serving as a fortress, papal residence, and prison. The South portal, facing the river, retains its original Gothic style with a triangular gable and Mudéjar-inspired archivolts. Baroque Splendor: The church's interior showcases extensive 17th and 18th-century Baroque gilt woodwork (talha dourada), covering almost every surface.
