This half-day private mosaic experience takes place in the studio of the bilingual muralist, Shannon McEvoy. Under Shannon's guidance, you will design and fabricate your own mosaic masterpiece to take home as a memento of your time in Chile.  From the Valle de la Luna in the Atacama Desert, to the colorful hills of Valparaiso, to the Villarrica Volcano in Pucon, to the rock formations of Torres del Paine National Park, Chile is filled with breathtaking landscapes that are gorgeous to mosaic.

Shannon will work with you to help you bring your vision to fruition. After the activity concludes, Shannon will grout your mosaic tile and help you to arrange the pick-up from her studio 48+ hours later. During the workshop, you'll hear of the significance of mosaics in Chile—a country famed for its street art and murals. You'll hear about Shannon's role as a mosaic muralist working in Santiago, Puente Alto (the Mosaic Capital of the Southern Hemisphere), and beyond.

This experience invites you into the intimate studio of an artist in Santiago to create your own Chile-inspired mosaic artwork. This may be of an abstract style or inspired by Chilean landscapes. You may choose to collaborate with your travel partner and create one mosaic to take home, or create individual masterpieces.

Over the course of the workshop, you will learn the fundamentals of mosaic techniques as Shannon helps you assemble your artwork. As an artistic director, Shannon collaborates with Chilean muralists and champions the community aspect of creation—she believes that art is for everyone. During this activity, you'll have the opportunity to quiz Shannon about life as a bilingual expat artist in Chile, her current projects, and how you can bring more creativity into your life. This experience takes place in Shannon's studio in Providencia, Santiago de Chile. The exact address to is provided after booking. If traveling by metro, take Line 1 and alight at either Pedro de Valdivia or Manuel Montt. It's a 15-minute walk to Shannon’s studio from either station. Shannon is a multimedia artist who loves exploring different languages and cultures, meeting new people, and listening to their stories. Originally from Minnesota, she studied abroad in Viña del Mar in 2010. The country and its people left a lasting impression on her, and she quickly returned after graduation. The street art of Valparaíso influenced her so profoundly that she incorporated Chilean muralism into her undergraduate Honors Thesis and pursued a career as a muralist.

Shannon has lived in Chile for over 10 years, where she teaches English and creates murals—but her talents don’t stop there. She also paints, sketches, makes ceramics and jewelry, designs her own clothes, and experiments with photography.

Shannon loves sharing her passions for art and language. To her, both are about expressing oneself and building meaningful connections. Bilingual in English and Spanish, she also speaks basic Portuguese.

In Luiz’s Paris apartment, the aroma of butter and wine sets the tone for an intimate cooking experience. You’ll begin with a generous board of cheese and charcuterie and a glass of wine as Luiz introduces the menu, chatting warmly about his life in Paris.

Together, you’ll choose whether to master a French classic such as boeuf bourguignon or blanquette de veau, or focus on perfecting the art of steak and sauces — perhaps a tenderloin with mustard sauce or a steak with mushrooms.

As the pans warm and conversation flows, Luiz guides you through each step with precision and ease, sharing both technique and insight from his training in French cuisine and pâtisserie. For dessert, you’ll prepare pâte à choux and rich pastry cream — the foundation of éclairs, profiteroles, and Paris-Brest.

 “Tourism has definitely changed things,” she admits. “Places like La Rambla are overcrowded. Many locals have been pushed out by the rise in tourist rentals. But Catalans are proud of their traditions. They’ve started resisting these changes to preserve the city’s character.” That character is what Manila has grown to love. “I chose Barcelona because I felt an immediate connection. The Mediterranean lifestyle, the weather, the proximity to mountains and sea — it feels like home but also stretches me outside my comfort zone.” She relishes the contrast to her native Sicily. “I can take a train and be skiing in the Pyrenees in just over an hour. Where else do you get that?”
What keeps her in Barcelona is the balance of tradition and openness. “The cuisine, the olive groves, the vineyards — they remind me of southern Italy, but they’re uniquely Catalan.” And the city’s connectivity has made it easy to stay rooted while maintaining close ties to Italy. This includes the roofs of the aisles, pillars, window frames, and chapels. The contrast between the Gothic architecture and the Baroque decoration is a fascinating aspect of the church's design.
The Tree of Jesse Altarpiece: Don't miss the "Tree of Jesse" altarpiece on the North lateral aisle, a remarkable example of polychromed woodwork by Filipe da Silva and António Gomes. If you want to explore Spain on foot, you should definitely set out on one of the pilgrimage routes through the country. All routes lead to the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela in Galicia, which is located in the northwest. As a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Camino de Santiago has been named a central point of cultural exchange – and a historical highlight that shows what medieval Spain looked like. We chose to follow the famous Camino Frances. The original 800km route takes 5 weeks, but we decided to get in a little later, we only had 11 days, and opted for the route starting in the Galician town of Sarria. Along the way, you'll meet many other tourist pilgrims, but you'll also be able to immerse yourself in the local culture and taste Spain's best delicacies (tapas, seafood, and Spanish Serrano ham). Be prepared for a lot of walking – and take the best walking boots you have. We’ve enjoyed every minute, but some people we met had the wrong equipment, complaining about blisters.

This place is located 100 km far from my home  and its in fundy national park New Brunswick canada  and its really amazing place the water falls looks soo good when you look with your nacked eyes  its a fresh water fall and the water also taste good we did hiking as well as had some snacks with my homies its a great location to come out for a good day and a good hike and have spend you day in nature i am a huge nature lover and i love to be in nature when i am on my off days i am so much indulge in nature activities like camping fishing bonfire start gazing from mountains bagpacking etc etc

A day out for hiking at fundy

Australia

The best thing about visiting Australia is that scenic views and spectacular nature are just a stone's throw away, no matter where you are. If you're in Sydney, you won't get a better view of the ocean than walking through Royal National Park and taking Bundeena Drive to Marley Walk.

Passing through scenic heathland with small trees, you'll soon come to a bushwalk through a denser forest. We saw many native bird species, including the famous cockatoo, had a dip in one of the pools along the way, and took stunning sunset photos as you look out over the wild ocean. The tourist highlight is Wedding Cake Rock, but our personal star was Marley Beach, a dreamy, hidden sandy beach where you can relax and dip your feet in the refreshing water.

You can rent a car and drive directly to Bundeena, but we decided to take the train from Sydney to Cronulla and from there take the ferry to Bundeena.

Chile’s Valle de la Luna (Moon Valley), located in the Atacama Desert, is one of the most surreal and otherworldly landscapes on Earth. With its wind-sculpted sand dunes, jagged rock formations, and salt-covered valleys, this Martian-like terrain resembles the surface of the Moon. The valley’s dramatic textures and colors, especially at sunset, make it a must-visit destination for photographers, nature lovers, and adventure seekers.


1. Duna Mayor, a massive sand dune offering panoramic views of the valley’s bizarre rock formations and distant Andes Mountains.

2. The Amphitheater, a curved rock formation that resembles a natural stage, perfect for dramatic landscape photography.

3. Las Tres Marías, three salt-and-rock sculptures sculpted by centuries of erosion, standing as one of the valley’s most famous landmarks.

Corfu, Greece, is home to the Church of Agios Spyridon, one of the island’s most iconic landmarks and a revered religious site dedicated to Saint Spyridon, the patron saint of Corfu. Built in the 16th century, this Venetian-style church is known for its distinctive red-domed bell tower—the tallest in Corfu—and its rich history of miracles attributed to the saint. Chile’s Laguna Cejar, located in the heart of the Atacama Desert, is a stunning saltwater lagoon where visitors can experience the unique sensation of floating effortlessly due to its high salt concentration, similar to the Dead Sea. The Caves in Negril offers a unique and exhilarating experience for those seeking adventure in a breathtakingly beautiful setting. Perched atop honeycomb cliffs formed by volcanic activity, The Caves is a gateway to thrilling cliff diving and cave swimming experiences.

The natural structure of the cliffs at The Caves makes them an ideal location for cliff diving. The walls of the resort are a veritable museum of ancient fossilized marine life and provide a variety of diving spots. 

As guests at The Caves, we were encouraged to take early morning dives from the cliffs, with jumps ranging from 8 ft to 30 ft, and there's even a jump inside a cave for the more daring. 

Despite the excitement of cliff diving, it's important to approach this activity with caution. The heights can be intimidating, and the water can appear menacing, especially when the weather is not ideal. So be careful and always go with a companion.

Cliff Diving at the Caves

Rethymno Old Town is a beautifully preserved mix of Venetian, Ottoman, and Greek architecture, offering vibrant alleyways, historic landmarks, and a lively atmosphere. It’s a haven for history lovers, shoppers, and those who enjoy exploring picturesque streets.
1. The town’s narrow streets are lined with colorful buildings, boutique shops, and inviting cafes.
2. Landmarks include the impressive Venetian Fortress and the ornate Rimondi Fountain.
3. Ottoman-era mosques and minarets add an intriguing cultural contrast.
4. The vibrant harbor area is perfect for enjoying a drink or fresh seafood with a view.
5. Street performers and local vendors contribute to the lively, welcoming atmosphere.
