Your journey begins with a comfortable, private drive from Guadalajara to the lakeside town of Chapala. There, you'll stroll along the scenic Malecón, enjoy a regional lunch, and explore the vibrant local culture.

Next, you'll visit Ajijic, a Pueblo Mágico known for its art galleries, colorful murals, and artisan shops. The town's cobblestone streets and colonial architecture create a peaceful, photogenic setting.

A highlight is a private boat tour on Lake Chapala, offering panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and the opportunity to observe local wildlife, such as pelicans and herons. Situated on the north shore of Lake Chapala, Ajijic is an indigenous Nahuatl word for "place of water” or “place where water bubbles up”. It's one of Mexico's famed Pueblo Magico's, and is full of magic thanks to the views of the lake, as well as indiegnous heritage. Here, you will be taken on a tour of a local artist's studio, visit artisan shops, and also learn the history of the town's historic churches. 

The artist studio visit is a unique and intimate experience which many visitors wouldn't have. Your host is an expert in architecture, and this expertise is shared with you as you learn about the town's history through its historic buildings, such as its churches.

Discover Ajijic, Pueblo Magico

You'll begin at your meeting point in Guadalajara, where your host will take you by car to Lake Chapala. Your first point of call with the Chapala city, where you'll enjoy the shoreline with the beautiful views, and learn about the area's history and indigenous heritage. The streets are full of shops where you will be able to browse the area's rich arts & crafts output.

Your host will be providing you with insider information on the region's history and culture. A local, he will make sure you see and hear the best of what Lake Chapala has to offer.

Your day trip will begin in Guadalajara, from where you will go you to lake Chapala.
