During a round-trip day visit from Marrakesh, accompanied by a Comptoir des Mines Galerie curator, you will travel to an artist's studio for an intimate exploration of art and creativity. Along the way, the curator will share the gallery's story and provide background on the artistic journey ahead.

You will be invited on a detailed guided tour of the artist's studio, personally led by both the artist and the curator. This part of the experience is rich with insights, as you'll learn about the artist's journey, techniques, the deeper messages behind their work, and the cultural and historical influences that shape their art. The tour is interactive, encouraging guests to ask questions and engage in meaningful dialogue about the artwork and its broader context within Morocco's contemporary art scene.

You’ll be invited into the artist’s process, with the curator providing context around the cultural and creative forces that influence the work. A scenic drive sets the tone, and the experience concludes with a shared meal along with the artist and curator, blurring the line between guest and insider. This is an invitation into Morocco’s art scene — an interactive experience that deepens your understanding of what it means to be an artist in Marrakesh today.

The Journey

A light, shared meal providing an informal yet profound opportunity for conversation, deepening your understanding of the art and its creator. The menu will include local Moroccan specialties, typical of this land (e.g., Moroccan salads and couscous with vegetables and meat). If you have any food restrictions, let Esther know after the booking.

This is followed by the drive back to Comptoir des Mines Galerie, Marrakesh.

This intimate gathering fosters a personal connection with the artist, enriching the appreciation of their work through stories shared over lunch. This is an unforgettable experience.

The Dialogue

Accompanied by the curator, you’ll meet the artist in their studio for a comprehensive tour that includes the artist's presentation, exploration of works and techniques, and stories/insights into their messages. This is interactive, allowing for questions about artistic, cultural, and historical contexts. Artworks available for acquisition may be showcased and discussed.

This is the highlight of this Experience and allows for an unparalleled depth of insight into the artist's personal journey and the cultural influences that shape their work.

The Immersion

Day Trip from Marrakesh to a contemporary artist’s studio, guided by a gallery curator & the artist.

Part I : The ride (30-180 minutes)
Be greeted and accompanied by our curator for a round-trip drive to the artist's studio. On the way, get introduced to the story of the gallery and enjoy moroccan scenery.

Part II : The immersion (60-90 minutes)
Alongside with curator, meet the artist in his studio moving onto a guided tour through the artist's presentation, works, techniques and messages, while answering any questions you might have about artistic, cultural and historical matters. Available works might be presented at that time.

Part III : The dialogue (30-60 minutes)
Enjoy a lunch and refreshments while engaging in a spontaneous talk with our curator and artist in the studio itself for a unique and memorable moment.

If you're arriving by taxi, ask to be dropped in front of Auto Hall. If you're coming with a chauffeur or hotel transport, nearby landmarks include Kechmara, Bab Hotel, and Sahbi Sahbi.
