This experience invites you to read Herculaneum as a city caught mid-life by the AD 79 eruption of Vesuvius. You follow basalt streets, pause at corner fountains, and look into shops where stone counters still hold recessed jars. Wood endured here as charcoal—doors, beams, even furniture outlines—so kitchens, stairways, and upper floors remain readable. Worn thresholds and bakeries with mills and ovens make daily habits visible, while pyroclastic surges and mud sealed what they touched.

You'll trace the ancient shoreline, now inland, including the vaulted boat sheds (known as the fornici), the site’s starkest memory, the place where people sought refuge in a last desperate attempt to escape. Nearby, the Baths show pools, mosaics, changing rooms, and underfloor heating. You'll also discover the House of Neptune and Amphitrite with its mosaic, the College of the Augustales with painted panels, and the House of the Wooden Partition with its sliding screen.

This sophisticated yet relaxed private dining experience takes place in the tasting room of an Argentine chef and English sommelier in Palermo Hollywood, Buenos Aires. The setting is intimate and domestic, designed for couples or small private groups who want to spend an evening around food, wine, and conversation rather than a restaurant table.

Five courses are prepared in the on-site kitchen using seasonal ingredients and recipes rooted in Argentine home cooking. The menu celebrates Aby’s family recipes while weaving together pre-Columbian traditions, the flavors brought by generations of immigrants, and the regional character found across Argentina.

As the evening unfolds, Bertie hosts the table, pairing each course with a small-production Argentine wine from Mendoza and beyond. Bertie, an English Sommelier, and Aby, an Argentine chef, are a Buenos Aires-based couple dedicated to sharing food, wine, and excellent company. Aby has been cooking traditional Argentine food since she was a child — helping at family gatherings — and Bertie has worked as a professional sommelier since 2008. 

The couple met by chance in Rio de Janeiro in 2014. What began as conversations about flavors and cultures soon grew into a partnership rooted in curiosity and hospitality. Since 2016, they’ve been running wine discovery and cooking classes together, creating meaningful experiences that celebrate regional traditions, local producers, and the joy of exploring Argentina one glass at a time. The couple have established an intimate tasting room in Palermo Hollywood, and offer their wine flights and meals shared around a big table - the Argentine way! 

This portrait photography session makes you the main character on the stage of Buenos Aires. Curated by a professional travel photographer whose work has been published all over the world, you will leave the activity with impeccable images commemorating your time in the Argentine capital. Bernardo is a charming host who also peppers this experience with anecdotes about the locations covered, his career as a photographer, and Porteño life. 

Bernardo typically runs this experience in the La Boca neighborhood, where you will pose to an aesthetic backdrop of colorful tenement buildings and street art around Caminito. However, the location may be changed to another barrio such as Puerto Madero, Plaza de Mayo, or Palermo Soho. Bernardo uses a full frame mirrorless camera and pro lenses in order to achieve the maximum image quality. He also uses a professional flash lighting system with diffusers when the natural light isn’t sufficient.

This private photoshoot experience is hosted by a professional travel portrait photographer from Buenos Aires. Bernardo delights just as much in showing travelers around his home city as he does helping them to capture photographic mementos from their time in the Argentine capital. As such, his photoshoot is thoughtful and unhurried, allowing plenty of time to experiment with poses, lighting, and accessorizing (if desired).

La Boca, one of the prettiest and most beguiling neighborhoods, is the stage of the photoshoot. Bernardo will be guided by the natural light, using external flashes and modifiers when needed to create a soft atmosphere for photography. He works around your preferences—suggesting spots to take the photos but also being open to any suggestions. There will be time to capture individual and group photos as well as to change clothing or add accessories. While this experience focuses on photography, Bernardo will share tales and anecdotes as you journey through La Boca.

This 4-hour cooking class shares Valparaíso's culinary legacy through four dishes celebrating the fusion of Chilean heritage and European influences from when the seaport was at its heyday. The cooking experience and wine pairing take place in the home of Al Ramirez, a sommelier and street artist from Valparaíso. In keeping with the spirit of "sobremesa", the cherished Chilean tradition of lingering around the table, the experience is unhurried and focuses as much on human stories as kitchen secrets. 

You'll start with every Porteño's favorite sharer—Calugas de Pescado, a platter of fried fish drizzled with lemon. Machas a la Parmesana (baked razor clams) follow suit while a pasta dish fusing Chilean and Italian techniques simmers on the stove. Dobladitas (French-inspired bread) served with pebre (Chilean salsa) or manjar (dulce de leche) completes the experience. Vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options are available; any dietary requirements must be communicated in advance.

This cooking class goes beyond recipes; it's a cultural deep-dive into the spirit of Sobre Mesa. Al does not simply instruct you on what to cook—he explains in vivid detail why these dishes matter. The ceremonies of Holy Week date back to the Middle Ages and are linked to the Spanish liturgy, as Spaniards dominated the island for a long time.

Bosa’s Easter celebration reaches its emotional peak with S’Incontru (The Encounter), a procession that takes place at dawn on Easter Sunday. Two separate processions begin their solemn journey—one carrying the statue of the Risen Christ, the other bearing the Virgin Mary dressed in black. As they wind through the town's narrow, historic streets, led by locals in traditional Sardinian attire, the atmosphere builds with anticipation. The climax unfolds in Bosa’s main square, where the statues meet in a symbolic reunion. 

At this profound moment, Mary’s black cloak is replaced with a bright blue mantle, representing the end of mourning and the joy of resurrection. This full-day tour blends history, the arts, and food. You'll start at the ruins of Pachacamac, Lima's largest archaeological site, where you will explore the temples and the on-site museum. You will then visit a local community of artisans and see their ceramics and textiles workshops, learning about their techniques. Lunch is prepared at the home of a ceramics artist — and you'll play a starring role. Lunch begins with a cooking class where you will learn how to prepare a simple, traditional dish such as Causa or Papa a la Huancaína from scratch.

Growing up on the city’s outskirts, it wasn’t until returning after time abroad that he saw it anew. “It was as a young and independent adult with an arts and architecture degree, and with the enthusiasm to explore — that I realized how beautiful, diverse, and interesting my city is.”
For Tiago, connecting with a culture means full immersion. “You have to experience it with open eyes, heart, and mind,” he says. That means talking to locals, walking unfamiliar routes, listening more than looking. “Lisbon isn’t just to be seen, but touched, smelled, and tasted.” It’s not a checklist—it’s a presence.
He also names two challenges: First, Lisbon’s historic neighborhoods are deeply distinct—each like its own mini-city. “Lisbon is multidimensional. It cannot—and should not—be rushed.” Second, mass tourism threatens the local character he cherishes. Responsible travel, he says, is essential to preserve the culture.
As tourism evolves, Tiago points toward Lisbon’s under-known strengths. “Gastronomy, street art, tiles, contemporary architecture… there’s so much more to discover!”

So amid the current situation of the world myself and two other friends managed to score flights to Colorado for $47. We rented a Jeep and decided to travel all around Colorado. This was my first time ever out west as I am an eastern girl! 

If you are ever able to visit Maroon Bells please do! Preferably at night so that you can watch the sun set over the mountain top! The sound coming from the small river combined with the smell of fresh air made me want to pitch a tent and never leave! The weather was not as cold as I expected. I was hoping to see more wild life but besides a few ducks there was none. I still had a fantastic time.
