What is this?
This private experience offers a thoughtful way to discover Valencia. It begins with a hotel pick-up in the city, after which your host introduces Valencia’s history, culture and Mediterranean way of life during a relaxed walk through downtown. The historic center blends Roman foundations, Moorish influence and Gothic architecture with lively plazas and streets, where landmarks such as the Cathedral and Central Market stand alongside everyday urban life.
The walk leads to a carefully selected local restaurant, where you will sit down to an authentic Valencian seafood paella, freshly prepared and thoughtfully paired with two tapas and three premium local wines. Valencia’s wine culture is closely tied to its surrounding regions, particularly DO Valencia and DO Utiel-Requena. You may encounter aromatic whites such as Merseguera or Macabeo, structured reds like Bobal or Monastrell, rosés, or regional sparkling styles — chosen to complement the meal and reflect the character of the region.
What makes this unique?
Valencia is home to a vibrant culinary culture rooted in local agriculture: Mediterranean produce, rice traditions, oranges, and seafood. This experience introduces you to that Valencian culinary identity with cultural context, expert guidance, insider access, and storytelling. The walk provides historical grounding before you arrive at the table, allowing the meal to feel connected to the city. Instead of following standard group routes, this version offers a more attentive rhythm.
Not only is Valeria a local who knows the city intimately, but her expertise as a certified sommelier and her passion for local, regional cuisines mean that this food-forward experience is an opportunity for you to taste the best of what the city has to offer. She enjoys revealing hidden corners, sharing local traditions, and connecting people to the city through flavor and conversation. The result is an urban experience that unfolds at a private pace, linking Valencia’s history, cuisine, and wine.
