The Test of Time

This is a 4.5-hour walking tour that showcases Milan's enduring artistic heritage. Commissioned by Duke Francesco Sforza in 1456 and designed by architect Filarete, its avant-garde design became a model for European hospitals. Despite wartime damages, its fifteenth-century courtyards and rebuilt eighteenth-century facade remain breathtaking. The tour includes the library and the icehouse. A coffee/snack break at a historic café follows, providing a moment to reflect on Milan's artistic resilience. The tour concludes at Laboratorio Paravicini in the historic center, where for over thirty years, hand-painted tableware sets depict dreamlike worlds, showcasing ongoing artistic experimentation and creativity.
