What is this?

This experience offers a dedicated full day to engage with Paris’s art scene at a deeper pace. With Phil, an antique specialist and art dealer, you move between carefully chosen galleries across the Rive Gauche and Rive Droite. The itinerary adapts to your interests, allowing space not only for discovery but for comparison and sustained conversation. The longer format opens access to a broader range of galleries, from emerging spaces shaping new directions to established institutions. A lunch with Phil marks a pause in the day, creating time to reflect on what you’ve seen, consider patterns, and refine your focus before continuing. Whether your interest lies in collecting, understanding the market, or immersing yourself in the city’s creative landscape, the experience unfolds with clarity and depth. Phil’s knowledge structures the day, while the slower rhythm allows ideas and relationships to take shape.

What makes this unique?

Phil Mevel’s ability to situate what you see within a wider artistic and market landscape defines the experience. His background spans antique works and contemporary art, allowing him to draw connections across periods, movements, and materials rather than viewing each gallery in isolation. Phil shapes the route around your interests, but over the course of a full day, those interests are tested, clarified, and sometimes reshaped through exposure and discussion. His long-standing relationships with gallerists and artists open space for genuine exchange, moving beyond introductions to sustained dialogue and human connection. The extended format allows you not only to see more but to understand how Paris’s art ecosystem functions — how galleries position themselves, how artists evolve, and how the market responds. You leave with a sharper perception of how contemporary art in Paris fits into a larger cultural and commercial context — and perhaps a piece that captures your imagination.
