What is this?

This experience allows extended time to explore the Saint-Ouen Flea Market at a considered pace. With Phil, a long-time antiques expert and advisor, you move through the different markets that make up this vast ecosystem. He adapts the route to your interests and objectives, leaving space for comparison, conversation, and deeper understanding. The almost full-day format opens access to a wide range of dealers and objects, with time to revisit stalls, enter ateliers, and follow leads that emerge along the way. A lunch break marks the middle of the day, offering time to discuss provenance, materials, and periods — and recalibrate, if needed — before continuing the exploration with renewed clarity. Whether you are searching for a specific piece or simply immersed in discovery, the day unfolds at a steady rhythm. Encounters with dealers develop into conversations, and objects are given time to be read and appreciated, rather than simply assessed.

What makes this unique?

Saint-Ouen is not a single market but a vast network of 14 interconnected markets and thousands of stalls — a maze that can feel overwhelming. Without guidance, even seasoned visitors can lose their sense of orientation. With Phil, that scale becomes legible as you move between dealers, specialties and markets with clarity. What distinguishes this experience is Phil’s long-standing position within the Saint-Ouen markets. He is rooted in this world, with relationships built over decades. This allows you to experience Saint-Ouen through established professional connections, guided by familiarity and credibility. Phil helps you articulate what draws your attention and refine it as the day progresses. His expertise spans historical periods, materials and styles, while his understanding of condition, sourcing, and restoration brings clarity without stripping objects of their character. Over the course of the day, you gain a clearer sense of your own taste in relation to what is available.
