Originally from Minnesota, the multi-media artist Shannon McEvoy studied abroad in Viña del Mar in 2010. The country and its people left a special place in her heart and she swiftly returned upon graduation. The street art of Valparaíso made such an impression on her that she decided to incorporate Chilean muralism into her undergraduate Honors Thesis and become a muralist herself. Shannon has now lived in Chile for over 10 years where she teaches English and makes murals - although her talents don't end there. Shannon also paints, sketches, makes ceramics and jewelry, designs her own clothes, and experiments with photography. She is the artistic director behind several monumental public art installations in Santiago and beyond. Shannon loves sharing her passions for art and language. For her, both are all about expressing your truth and building meaningful connections with others. Bilingual in English and Spanish, Shannon also speaks basic Portuguese.
