About
Nearby
Rovinj rewards travelers willing to slow down, its harbor light and stone streets built for lingering rather than checklists. Guided days spent in an olive grove kitchen and among Istria's vineyards sit alongside quiet time in the Old Town, at the Church of St. Euphemia, and along the cliffs of the Lim Fjord. It's a three day pause built for travelers who'd rather taste and wander than rush from sight to sight.
DAY 1 – ROVINJ HARBOR | The days open at Rovinj's harbor on your own, its pastel buildings and bobbing boats catching the late morning light. Take time to wander the Old Town's narrow, cobbled streets at your own pace, ducking into a market stall or a quiet church square as the mood takes you. The town moves at its own unhurried tempo, and there's no itinerary to outrun here. Dinner closes the day by the water, the harbor settling into its slow evening rhythm.
DAY 2 – OLIVE GROVES TO ST. EUPHEMIA | A half day cooking class near Medulin opens with a guided visit to Pula's green market, choosing ingredients among local vendors before heading to a countryside studio surrounded by olive groves. There, a three course meal comes together around Istria's prized truffles, paired with a tasting of local wines and olive oils, hosted by Nikola. Back in Rovinj by early evening, climb the bell tower of the Church of St. Euphemia on your own, its Baroque silhouette rising over a sweep of terracotta rooftops and the Adriatic beyond. Dinner closes the day.
DAY 3 – WINE COUNTRY TO THE LIM FJORD | The final day heads into Istria's wine country with Nikola, visiting two family wineries for tastings of Malvasia and Teran, the countryside unfolding in rolling hills between stops. A two course lunch back in Rovinj's old town, built around truffles and a glass of wine, brings the day full circle. In the late afternoon, take time on your own along the Lim Fjord, its steep cliffs and still green waters a quiet, cinematic close to the trip. The journey ends here, unhurried to the last.
WHERE TO STAY IN ROVINJ | The Old Town puts you within walking distance of the harbor and the Church of St. Euphemia, its narrow lanes closest to the town's daily rhythm. For a quieter stay with easier parking for the day trips to Medulin and Istria's wine country, look toward the newer neighborhoods just outside the old peninsula.
