This experience invites both amateur and professional photographers to capture the essence of the Carnevale's stunning array of exquisite costumes against the timeless beauty of one of the world's most picturesque cities, during a season marked by beguiling layers of fog and light. 

With Marco's expert guidance, you'll explore the city's enchanting alleyways, hidden spots and secretive sides seldom seen by visitors, all while honing your photography skills. From pre-arranged shooting sessions with elaborately costumed models in secluded locations to sunrise/sunset captures in emblematic squares, this workshop offers a comprehensive journey through Carnevale's splendor. 

The Venice Carnevale has deep-rooted origins dating back to the era of the "Serenissima." The zenith of Venice's opulence in the sixteenth century witnessed lavish festivities, where the anonymity afforded by masks blurred societal distinctions among citizens, fostering a unique sense of equality across class, age, and wealth. This experience is very special, as it captures the true ethos of Carnevale. 

Through a carefully curated 24-hour itinerary spread over three days, you are immersed in the art and culture of Venice. Activities are designed to capture Venice's myriad facets, from its serene mornings to the magical twilight ambiance, enable you to enhance your photography skills and gather a great portfolio of photos. 

The itinerary provided in the Experience Details is subject to change, influenced by weather, lighting, and coinciding local events, ensuring each day is optimized for the best photographic and experiential outcomes. 

1. Sunrise Costume Photography: Begin with an early morning session capturing the elaborate costumes of the Carnevale participants, using the soft morning light to create mesmerizing images.

2. Hidden Venice Photo Walk: Explore lesser-known areas of Venice, focusing on costume photography, to discover the city's hidden gems away from the bustling crowds.

3. Communal Dinner and Photo Review: Conclude the day with a local Venetian dinner where you can reflect on the day's experience and have a photo review session with Marco to gain insights into improving your photos on subsequent days.

Day 1 of 3-day Venice Carnevale Photography Experience

Day 1: The Dawn of Carnevale

On Day 1, Marco will share where you will meet on Day 2 - and the planned itinerary based on the latest weather conditions. 

Guided Photowalks: Traverse through the historic alleys and canals of Venice, guided by Marco's expert eye, capturing the Carnevale's vibrant colours and enigmatic characters.

Day 2 of 3-day Venice Carnevale Photography Experience

Day 2: Artisan Visits & Sunset

(1) Additional Sunrise Costume Photography: Take advantage of another early morning session to perfect your technique and capture the Carnevale's vibrancy as the city awakens.

(2) Secretive Venice Through the Lens: Spend the day exploring the enchanting, secretive sides of Venice, capturing the city's timeless beauty through your lens.

(3) Cicchetti, Prosecco and Final Photo Review: Share your best works and experiences. 

The workshop will close in the afternoon. 

On Day 2, Marco will share where you will meet on Day 3 - and the planned itinerary based on the latest weather conditions.

Bookings with fewer than the minimum participants are welcome. This private experience has a fixed minimum price that applies to groups of 1 to 4 people.

Participants are advised to arrive in Venice on day 0. The workshop will start on day 1, and you can plan to depart on day 4 or in the late afternoon of day 3.
