The host, Şeyma Çınar, is a master artist specializing in miniature art, Tezhip (Islamic illumination), and floral designs since 1998. With formal certification from Turkey’s Ministry of Culture and Tourism, she has dedicated over 25 years to studying and teaching the intricate techniques of Ottoman miniature painting. Having participated in multiple exhibitions and published work on Islamic art, she brings both technical expertise and cultural depth to the workshop, ensuring participants leave with a rich understanding of this ancient craft. She will be accompanied by a translator, allowing everyone to fully engage with her insights and expertise.

Toledo is one of Spain’s most historically significant cities, with roots dating back to a pre-Roman settlement. It was once the capital of Spain and remains a UNESCO World Heritage Site today. Over the centuries, it became known as the City of Tolerance—or the City of Three Cultures—due to the coexistence and influence of Muslim, Jewish, and Christian communities.

This private walking tour begins with a panoramic car tour of the city, followed by visits to monuments that bring Toledo’s layered history to life. Trained in both classical storytelling techniques and modern performance arts, the host is skilled at captivating audiences of all ages. Accompanying the storyteller is a local musician, expert in traditional Moroccan instruments, who has performed in various cultural festivals and venues, adding a layer of authenticity and enchantment to the storytelling.

This walking tour explores San Sebastian’s cultural identity, maritime roots and architecture. It begins at Tabakalera, a former tobacco factory now transformed into a center for culture and creativity. From there, walk to the Cathedral of the Good Shepherd, where a marble crucifix by renowned Basque sculptor Eduardo Chillida offers a moment of stillness.

San Spiridione Church is a testament to the city's multiculturalism. This magnificent Serbian Orthodox church, dedicated to Saint Spyridon, a Greek Cypriot saint, showcases a splendid Byzantine style that dates back to 1869, reflecting the city's unique position at the crossroads of Europe's major ethnic and religious communities. Top highlights:
1 - The church's striking appearance, with its multi-domed structure, captures the essence of Byzantine architecture. Constructed from pearly white Istrian stone, the large central dome is flanked by four hemispherical cupolas. The front façade is adorned with nine statues by Milanese artist Emilio Bisi, each contributing to the church's grandeur and artistic significance.

Dario Moreno Street & Asansör

The Vasari Corridor, an elevated kilometer-long passageway, is a symbol of the Medici family's influence in Renaissance Florence. Commissioned by Cosimo de' Medici in 1565, this corridor connects the Uffizi Gallery to the Pitti Palace, offering a unique journey through Florence's history, art, and architecture. Top 5 reasons to take this stroll:
1 - Designed by Giorgio Vasari, the corridor was constructed to allow the Medici family to move freely and safely between their residence in Palazzo Pitti and the government headquarters in Palazzo Vecchio. 2 - As you walk through the corridor, you are surrounded by an exquisite collection of artwork, mainly from the 16th and 17th centuries, including a unique collection of artists' self-portraits. Known for its brightly painted houses, tango performances, and vibrant street art, this pedestrian walkway is a living museum of Argentine culture and history. Once a working-class immigrant district, La Boca has transformed into a hub for art, music, and photography, making it a must-visit destination for travelers.


1. Colorful Corrugated-Iron Houses, originally built by Italian immigrants, have been transformed into an open-air art gallery, creating a striking and lively atmosphere.

2. Tango Performances in the Streets, where couples dance to live accordion and guitar music, offering a glimpse into Buenos Aires’ most famous cultural tradition.

3. Local Artisan Shops & Street Art, featuring handmade crafts, paintings, and murals depicting famous footballers, tango legends, and Argentine history.

El Caminito in La Boca

Jamaica

At the close of the turtle hatching season, in January this year, when only a handful of nests remained, we assisted Mel Tennant, fondly known as The Turtle Man, in releasing 54 newly hatched Hawkbill Turtles into the ocean.

The turtle hatchlings — incredibly — found the ocean on their own, with no help or nudging from us. How do they know where to go and how to swim right after they are hatched? Well, they do. Sea turtles are born with the instinct to move toward the brightest direction.

The Oracabessa Bay Sea Turtle Project, under Mel’s extraordinary leadership, provides incubation support and the safe release of these endangered creatures.
