This experience takes you into one of Portugal’s most iconic estates, Casa de Mateus, for a private tour and traditional lunch. Located near Vila Real, this 18th-century Baroque masterpiece was designed by Italian architect Nicolau Nasoni, whose work also defines much of Porto’s skyline. 

The experience begins with a guided visit of the palace led by an official specialist from the Casa de Mateus Foundation. Following the visit, sit down for a lunch served in the palace’s original kitchen—an atmospheric setting that preserves the soul of the house. Chile

Rise and shine: long before the sun makes its arrival over the valleys of Atacama Desert, you'll be on the road to one of the main gateways to the Andean highlands of Chile. This is a full-day photographic odyssey of some of the Atacama's most shocking natural wonders where you will contemplate important high-altitude ecosystems rich in biodiversity and cultural significance. These include the wetlands of Machuca and Putana, the Tatio Geyser, the Cactus Canyon, and the Puritama Hot Springs.

This experience is delivered by a professional photographer who will mentor you through the process of capturing the landscapes. As a private excursion focused on photography, the pace is slower than typical tours operating to these beauty spots. You will take your time at each destination and spend time perfecting your shooting skills and watching for wildlife. The activity concludes by bathing in the warm waters of the Puritama Thermal Springs. 

This experience stars one of the Atacama's most famous natural wonders and two of its hidden gems. It concludes at what is perhaps the only relaxing activity in the region—bathing in the thermal springs of Puritama. As a photography experience, the day maintains a slower pace and a steady focus on studying the landscapes in finite detail. 

Beyond the theatrical geyser spectacle, the Putana and Machuca wetlands are especially captivating to explore. Inhabited by the Atacameño people for centuries, Mirko will explain how farmers use these grasses and marshes uphold traditional llama and alpaca herding practices. There are opportunities to photograph Andean flamingos, vicuñas, and such birds as Puna Ibis and giant coots before stopping by the village to sample llama cheese empanadas. The Cactus Canyon (Quebrada de Guatín) is another spot skipped by most tours. Here, you'll encounter towering cacti used for traditional medicine, tools, and rituals.

Here you'll find Café Nicola, a bohemian restaurant and coffee shop from the 18th-19th century, the Neoclassical National Theatre Queen Maria II - a cultural landmark,  several highly decorated fountains and portuguese cobblestone covering all the pavement.

Café Nicola's history as a literary and intellectual hub offers a glimpse into Lisbon's artistic past. Tokyo is a city of sharp contrasts — and this tour is designed to showcase Tokyo's rhythm, from forest shrine in mid-afternoon to Shibuya at night. 

You begin at a Shinto shrine in the middle of the city, surrounded by towering trees. Your guide shares the customs of shrine visits and helps you collect a Goshuin, handwritten seal pressed into paper. Beyond the torii gates, the energy changes fast. Takeshita Street hums with teenage fashion, storefronts stacked with color and sound. In Omotesando, concrete and glass architecture reflects a city reshaping itself.

From there, a short ride takes you to Zojoji Temple, where the Tokugawa family once worshipped. The temple’s wooden gate dates to 1622. Behind it, Tokyo Tower rises in red steel- a contrast of centuries in a single frame.

Dinner is in Shibuya. You cross the scramble under flickering screens and end in a back alley of tiny bars and paper lanterns, where Tokyo narrows and lets you glimpse a past behind its brightest lights.

This tour moves through different neighborhoods at the pace Tokyo moves — fast, fluid, full of contrast. One moment, you’re beneath cypress trees in a Shinto shrine. The next, shoulder to shoulder with teenagers in full cosplay. Temple gates give way to steel towers. After Tokyo Tower, your guide takes you to an early dinner nearby — a spot known for quality, character, and efficiency. It might be a refined izakaya, a quiet soba or sushi counter, or a teishoku-style set meal — the kind of place locals know. It’s a quick sit-down meal, paced to match the evening ahead.

This dinner is about the tempo as much as it is about the food. You’re between neighborhoods, between energies. The next part of Tokyo is louder, sharper, more electric. Your guide helps you sense that rhythm shift as day slips into dusk.

Dusk Between Eras

After a short taxi drive, you arrive at Zojoji Temple, the Tokugawa shogunate’s family temple. This place has tremendous gravitas. The Sangedatsumon Gate (1622) remains bronze-fastened wood, offering shade and shadow. Beyond it rises Tokyo Tower, completed in 1958, its broadcast lights glowing like embers in steel. Within Zojoji’s grounds are mausoleums of Tokugawa shoguns and quiet memorials. You will visit a gallery showcasing a remarkable collection of painted scrolls.

Zojoji and Tokyo Tower form one of Tokyo’s sharpest visual contrasts: wooden gate, dates from early Edo; steel tower, built in postwar optimism. Your guide explains why Zojoji remains important to Tokyo’s spiritual life and how Tokyo Tower, built in 1958, became a national symbol of progress and optimism. Two Towers, Two Eras

After a brief taxi ride, your final act begins at the Hachiko statue and continues across Shibuya’s iconic scramble crossing. If time permits, you can ask your guide to take you up a shopping mall to see the scramble from above. 

From there, slip into Nonbei Yokocho, a narrow alley of tiny Showa-era bars lit by lanterns. This is where Tokyo winds down without slowing down.

Nonbei Yokocho means "Drunkard’s Alley," but its charm isn’t in the alcohol — it’s in the intimacy. These bars hold decades of history in ten square meters. With your guide, you learn the etiquette, the backstories, and the names behind the signs. 

Your guide will leave you at 8 PM - and you can enjoy this street and Tokyo's nightlife a bit more on your own.

At the heart of Cuglieri’s Holy Week are traditions that blend raw spirituality with centuries-old rituals. When asked about his love for Lisbon, Tiago’s enthusiasm is immediate: “I love my city! I really love the historic center of Lisbon!” Though he didn’t always feel that way. Growing up on the city’s outskirts, it wasn’t until returning after time abroad that he saw it anew. “It was as a young and independent adult with an arts and architecture degree, and with the enthusiasm to explore — that I realized how beautiful, diverse, and interesting my city is.”
For Tiago, connecting with a culture means full immersion. “You have to experience it with open eyes, heart, and mind,” he says. That means talking to locals, walking unfamiliar routes, listening more than looking. “Lisbon isn’t just to be seen, but touched, smelled, and tasted.” It’s not a checklist—it’s a presence.
He also names two challenges: First, Lisbon’s historic neighborhoods are deeply distinct—each like its own mini-city. “Lisbon is multidimensional. It cannot—and should not—be rushed.” Second, mass tourism threatens the local character he cherishes. Responsible travel, he says, is essential to preserve the culture.
As tourism evolves, Tiago points toward Lisbon’s under-known strengths. “Gastronomy, street art, tiles, contemporary architecture… there’s so much more to discover!”

Stroll Through El Born

Patagonia – the land where the earth ends – must be one of the most unique places to visit in this world. I definitely felt this way, when I visited the glaciers, mountains, and rivers around. It’s a stunning place, and even though it’s quite hard to get there, the whole trip is completely worthwhile.

Patagonian hares, hawks, red foxes, geese, black-necked swans, flamingos, woodpeckers, skunks, pumas, condors, and the near extinct huemul deer – this place is for nature lovers. We’ve spent 1 month in Patagonia, exploring the fauna and flora, zipping warm chocolate next to the chimney of our bed and breakfast, and breathing the fresh air.

Save packing lightly for another trip – visiting the snowy landscape in Southern Argentina, you want to come as prepared as possible. Scarves, gloves, a winter jacket, boots, and lots of exchange clothes are a must.

Visit a rare phenomenon

Nafplio, Greece, is home to the scenic Arvanitia Promenade, a stunning coastal walkway that stretches for about 1 kilometer (0.6 miles) along the base of Akronafplia Castle. This leisurely path connects Nafplio’s Old Town with Arvanitia Beach, offering breathtaking views of the Argolic Gulf and the surrounding cliffs. Lined with palm trees, fragrant flowers, and dramatic sea views, the promenade is a favorite for both locals and visitors looking for a relaxing walk, a scenic jog, or the perfect photo opportunity.

Catalonia, Spain, is home to the breathtaking Vall de Núria, a stunning valley nestled in the Pyrenees Mountains at an altitude of 2,000 meters (6,560 feet). Accessible only by a scenic rack railway or hiking trails, this serene destination offers spectacular views, pristine lakes, and a peaceful retreat for nature lovers and adventure seekers. Known for its shrine to the Virgin of Núria, this valley is a pilgrimage site as well as a hub for outdoor activities, including hiking, skiing, and horseback riding.


1. Take the Cremallera de Núria, a scenic rack railway that winds through lush forests and alpine meadows, offering breathtaking views of the Pyrenees.

2. Visit the Sanctuary of the Virgin of Núria, a historic pilgrimage site with beautiful mountain views and spiritual significance for Catalan visitors.

3. Explore the valley’s many hiking trails, including routes that lead to stunning viewpoints, hidden waterfalls, and high-altitude peaks.
